This made my Solar Battery Tender much easier to use. I purchased it used and it just had the battery clips. With this connector I can just leave the solar panel on the dash and plugged into the cigarette lighter, charging my car battery.
I got this adapter to quickly plug in my radio into the wife's car. I was concerned about the quality, but Powerwerx built this adapter tough. The powerpoles make a solid connection and the length of the cable is just right.
I've made these myself over they years, but this one is slick and I couldn't find the correct cigarette lighter plug because RadioShack went out of business.
I like how it plugs in stiffly, won't pull out with a minor tug. Good solid contact to the jack. I don't like the LED light on the plug body. When connecting to another battery for charging, it stays lit even when unplugged from the jack, discharging the battery. If it is plugged into an always hot jack in a car it can also hasten the car battery running down. Might take a couple of months. I use this with my ham rig that has an internal battery too so the LED runs it down when unplugged from the car jack.
