I originally purchased this costume back in 2016 for an annual community holiday theater show. Because I have a recurring character, it was time to replace the costume. There are some notable differences that I hope the manufacturer will address.1) I did order a size up and I'm glad I did. The size chart recommended a 1x based on my bust measurement, but after reading the comments, I sized up and I'm glad I did.2) The "buttons" are not centered down the front. The difference is especially notable with the top button. It does not line up in the middle of the collar and is partially hidden.3) Because the buttons are glued down versus sewn on (like my 2016 costume) I can't fix it myself. I fear if I try to remove the top button to center, I may rip the fabric.4) Please bring back the velcro from the 2016 costume! It was better quality and the opening was in the front, not down the back!5) The collar flips up in the front and because the velcro is in the back, the split collar behind the neck flips up too, even after ironing.**I am going to return this costume and order another, hoping that at least the buttons will be centered. Because I was so happy with my original 2016 costume, I was looking forward to (and relieved) to find an exact replacement. Needless to say, I am disappointed with this version.

This costume was a hit! Wore it for a Santa run, and I got tons of compliments—some even wanted pics with me, haha! The back closure with Velcro was super convenient and stayed put the whole time. Paired it with a petticoat for some extra flair, cute striped nylons, and adorable elf ears. The hat surprisingly stayed on without any pins. Had to secure the belt with a Bobby pin since it kept rolling down, but no big deal. Overall, really pleased with this purchase!
