I just received this blouse today for a Victorian historical costume and am very impressed with it. The fabric is good quality and soft, and the lace is pretty. It needs some ironing, but that's no problem. Anything shipped these days needs ironing.

The laces in back basically bring this blouse to a perfect fit everywhere but the shoulders/sleeves. It sets a little wide at the shoulders, but isn't awkward. I ordered a 2X because my bust is 46 inches, and I may have been able to get away with a 1X, but I didn't want to risk it, and the laces in back make it fit perfectly at my bust and waist.

I have 2 minor issues with it, one is adjustable and the other isn't: the lace at the top of the bottom ruffle rolls up when you draw the laces in the back, so it doesn't fall right. This is a design flaw - they should have put the lace just above the ruffle, not on it. The second is that the buttons at the sleeves are at the edge of the sleeve, so don't fit snugly at my wrists. BUT! I'm handy with a needle, so I will just move the buttons over on the cuff an inch or so to make the cuffs fit snugly. This will make the sleeves a little more puffy, which is fine for the era I'm working with, and I think actually makes the blouse a little more becoming.

So overall, I'm definitely keeping this blouse to wear with my Victorian walking skirt (photos when I have it all together), and I DO recommend it for anyone looking for a blouse that hearkens to the Victorian era. I ordered it in white, and it's a true white, not off-white or dingy.

5 stars, even with the minor adjustments I'll have to make - especially for something from Amazon these days!

It's a cool shirt and good quality but it is just a little awkward. The sleeves are really long but the torso is short, which I thought was ok since I intended to wear it with long flowy high waisted skirts, but it's a little too short and emphasizes more of my tummy then I would like. I also like the idea of looking sexy even though I'm covered ankle to neck but this didn't really give that vibe. It's very pretty but just not right for me.

I bought this for a costume. It was a 1800s themed birthday weekend in Virginia City. I felt the top fit the period, but it was a bit small on me in the bust. The buttons were a bit strained. Also the ‘buttons’ are fastened with a elastic loop, kind of a pain to get on. Had to keep yanking it down as it would ride up from my waist. I should of ordered a size larger. All in all the look of the top fit perfect with the period of the dress for the 1800s. Would buy again, just larger.
