3 Light Modes, No Memory.
The default mode is LOW when you just turn on the flashlight.
- When use a Li-ion battery, the brightness can be Low(20LM) - Medium(280LM) - High(600LM);
- When powered by AA battery, the mini light gives out Low(1LM) - Medium(30LM) - High(220LM)
How to Use UltraTac A1 Mini Flashlight?
- Unscrew the flashlight head or tail-cap;
- Insert the battery with the positive side towards the head;
- Reassemble;
- Click the tailcap switch to turn on / off the light;
- Press the switch when light on to switch mode between Low, Medium, High.

decent flashlight, great size, bright but not 5 stars
This is easy to operate but I wish it had a memory. It always starts out on low. There are three different levels of lumen output. It is easy to toggle through them. This model does have a very bright high mode. The picture doesn't really show it but the beam pattern is not even. Why? Who knows?This model does come with a pocket clip, lanyard, and a very nice silicone light diffuser. It will stand on its tail and can be used as a small lantern.I might have been able to give it 5 stars if it had come with a Li-Ion battery or better yet a USB cable to recharge the light with. At the current price, I would have to go with my faithful Lumintop Tool AA instead.If you buy one, be sure you get a Li-Ion 14500 size battery and charger to get the full output. Normal batteries only allow these 220 lumens vs the 600 that Li-Ion gives it.
