Gail Gibbons’s books are particularly accurate because she goes right to the source when researching a topic. She has been on the seventeenth floor of a skyscraper in progress, has spoken with truck drivers about the workings of their rigs, has dismantled every clock in her home, and would have donned scuba diving gear to research a sunken ship had the sea waters not been too turbulent. Gail says "I had a lot of ‘whys’ when I was a child. I guess I still do."

- Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2024I LOVE the art and illustrations in this book, but there was some incorrect information and it is not a very fun read. Very informative and like I said the art is great, but I doubt this book will be read much at our house. I am not looking forward to reading it again myself. Sucks because I love to read and I was really looking forward to my first Gail Gibbons book after looking at the reviews of her many many books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!
My kids love this book. We use it in homeschool right now and it’s easy enough for them to read aloud to each other but informative enough to be educational.
