    After fighting in a War that took the lives of dozens of my friends and everyone hated me for participating in, I left the Military in 1978 and had to regain my footing in a Nation of changed values. I was angry and frustrated. After reading "Get Even...." in 1980, I was ready to get some payback. Fortunately a kind WWII Veteran and business owner saw what I was going through and hired me at a good wage. After 30 years of working in a highly technical field, I saw the old "Get Even.." in print again and had to buy it. After reading it I had to chuckle at myself for even contemplating "getting even" with anybody using these techniques. It was a very innovative, imaginative, and interesting book to published at the time and still a fun read. Why not, we had just elected a California movie star to be the President of the United States!

    While going through a rough patch at work, when I would have liked nothing more than to pull some of these dirty tricks on some of the people I worked with, this book helped me retain a sense of humor about it all. It was quite satisfying and amusing to picture the results of the tricks on my tormentors. However some of the ideas expressed in the book are down right mean and border on illegal. They also require a devious mind and evil bend of character to preform. Not for me, and this book should never be allowed into the hands of your enemies.
