- Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2021It was concise, yet full of information. The author got to the point and did not waste time. The information is very useful and even the things I already knew where explained or summarized in a way that will make them more easily integrated into my future conversations. An easy read, easy to understand, and definitely worth the price.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2014While many people believe that building magnetic connections with others is something you are born with this book is full of quick and easy ways that show you how to start building better relationships despite that belief. While some of the tips are common sense, they’re still helpful and it is good to get a refresher on what works. Besides, what might be common sense to you might not be common sense to me.
The best part is that you can start applying what is in this book right away, and you'll start to see a difference in your interactions.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2017This book really helped me to build my personality both personally and at the workplace. You will read lots of common sense things that you may have not realized about before but once implemented can really influence how others may portray you - the impact you can have on others leaving a truly memorable impression while you build rapport to be more likable. There are insights in this book where you will say "Oh, I already knew that but why didn't I do or think about that before."
This book is pretty much sets out social guidelines to improve relationships whether with family, friends, colleagues or newly met people. I suggest that you read as many principles that you can practice - once it forms into a habit, follow on the next principle.
I have felt improvement in my communication & relationships and have been receiving better feedback from those I know.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2015An easy read yet thought there would be more details regarding why certain personality types see to draw more attention, opportunities and opened doors. Continuing to research...SB
- Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2014I have one his other books and a friend recommended that I get this book as soon as it was out and being that she was pretty charming and social, I thought I should check it out. I love the book right from the beginning as it talks about his client Ronald and how he was able to improve his business with these skills. But you can help any part of your life like love and friendships too. It just makes sense and it is a shame that more people do not realize it and want to improve themselves.
I feel empowered now because I know I have much greater skills and know why the skills work so I cannot wait to go try them out!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2015This is one of the books I read when on the treadmill (walking at 12% incline, speed 2.5 so I can read). It's how I efficiently develop my soft skills.
The book has key tips that are very practical and useful. Most are common sense to an extent, but we all probably know of some of these but don't use them enough.
The principles also highlight mistakes or weaknesses we might address.
There are a number of typos and dangling/missing words, but this is more a note to the author to self-edit with a keener eye.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2021I chose to give a 5 star rating is because this book is really an opener to unlock everyone's potential of being charismatic and show good social etiquette for anyone.
The topics covered is very practical and easy to understand. Highly recommended to anyone looking to improve themselves and create a better sub conscious awareness of oneself!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2014I finished this book in under 3 hours. It would have been shorter but I had to keep taking notes. I liked that because I felt like it was very dense and valuable.
There were many action items I took away from it, such as being more curious, using filler phrases, and not being overly negative to break people’s flow. How exactly the author came up with all of these I have no idea but they are very great and insightful ideas for people to learn.

5.0 out of 5 stars Personal Development 101
Patrick does a great job at opening up some of these ideas to you and taking you through ways you can apply them... my mind is running with some of these ideas and I'm excited for the ways I'm going to apply them
It seems odd at first, but in the end enpowering, to think social power and magnetism is something you can learn as opposed to be born or raised that way
Personal development is one of the best things you can invest time and money into, and I certainly don't feel like I've wasted either with this title

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good guide for social interaction.
Written clearly and concisely and a great guide for anyone who may lack confidence in social situations.
Most of what Patrick describes is 9nnate in many of us; however, it does no harm to be reminded, in order to refocus the sense. A very good read.
