A must have for fans of the movie!Warning this is made of thick plastic and is too large to use as an actual guitar pick (maybe a bass pick). It is a prop not a pick (pictures posted showing size and thicness of pick). But it looks just like the picture and the prop used in the movie (which I would also reccomend buying if you don't own it already). Still it is a must have if you are a fan of the movie.

Okay... if you've seen the movie, you'll know that the pick was obviously too big to actually play. It was part of the silliness of the movie. So don't expect to play guitar or bass with it. You'll just look retarded. Other than that, the pick is PERFECT in every sense! Very well made... sturdy, rustic looking and very awesome. Makes you feel like you can rule the world with one metal riff.

so yes this POD is awesome looking and great to have for the POD movie fans but my review is more focused on the company i ordered it from! i ordered this for a project of mine and needed it in by the next month...couple weeks later the box came but there was no product inside!! i was freaking out and wrote them an email (sorry if i seemed rude...i was freaking out haha) with this project due the next week, i was checking my email everyday for a reply! couple days later they did and told me they were sending me another one with no charge!! SO HAPPY! got my project done in time and it was a great addition to make my project pop!

The obvious thing about this pick is that it is freaking awesome, just like Tenacious D themselves. Although it is true that it is way too large to use for a guitar, you would need pin point precision to be able to use it and play well. However, if you like using a large pick, this is actually a pretty good pick for a bass. (if its a 4 string) I got one just for fun and used it when i was learning and it creates a cool and very different sound. I dont use it anymore cause i play with my fingers now, but if i was ever going to play with a pick, i wouldnt be able to use anything else but this one.

So this pick is about four mm wide at the tip, and is pretty bulky to hold in your hand. With a little bit of getting used to it it is possible to play with it. However I don't believe it is meant to be played. The more you play it the more the paint is scraped off. So after about a half hour of use you'll start a notice a nice layer of particulate matter underneath your strings on the body, and a white area slowly developing where the pick strikes the strings. It does look just like in the movie though. I'd say buy the necklace, not the pick.

I bought this for myself because I'm a HUGE Tenacious D fan. This pick is very detaied and looks pretty great. It makes a great collectible item as well as something to display near your guitar(s). It would also make a great gift. However it is NOT a playable pick, for it's at least 3 times the size of a regular pcik. If you are searching for a playable pick, there are some that you can find on Amazon.

El detalle en esta plumilla parece casi como si fueran hechas a mano, la textura que tiene el plastico y el sonido que genera cuando la golpeas con los dedos es casi como la de un diente real.
Aunque es muy gruesa y el tamaño es gigante aun puedes tocar con ella si encuentras una manera comoda de sostenerla, aunque no sirve mucho para solos o fast picking, esta mas orientada hacia el rythm.
