- Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2014Size: 5 FeetStyle: CableVerified Purchasecable is easy to fix if it ever gets damages since the plug is one which you can unscrew to inspect the solder joint. theres no noise when I whack the cable with a screwdriver, so its well shielded. the braded-sheild 24awg cable makes it really flexible and less prone to breaking. I dont notice any difference in tone when I switch between this and other 22awg cables. I use to connect my tube preamp output to a usb interface which is 3ft distance.
the cable may look flimsy to people used to sealed cables, but it really isnt. the plug screw part could have been a tad tighter fitting, but it doesnt really affect plugging and unplugging. just remember to tighten it every time you unplug.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2020Size: 5 FeetStyle: CableVerified PurchaseAwesome cables for the money, If you watch any sort of mid sized music channel you have probably heard the "Hosa" name before. While these cables are nothing magic there really should be no magic needed to a good solid cable.
They are nice and quiet dispite the high amount of background noise i typically get, and professionally built even for the lower end cables.
Definitely my go to cable company for inexpensive high quality cables.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2024Size: 5 FeetStyle: CableVerified PurchaseThere's nothing really wrong with the cable, it's just not that high quality compared to some others in the price range, i.e. the metal sleeve likes to loosen, and the cable is not that heavy duty.
However, it works, it doesn't crackle, and hasn't cut out, so far.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2014Size: 5 FeetStyle: CableVerified PurchaseI bought this thinking it was a 15' guitar cable. It's not, it's a 5' cable. After using it, this is the best accidental purchase I've ever made. This 5' cable is so much easier to get out, practice with, then put away than anything else I've used. It hangs nicely on my guitar stand and I'm thinking about buying another 5' cable so that I can run one to my pedal board and the other to my amp. Really glad I made this purchase. Before using it I would have opted for another 5 or 10 feet, just in case. But a 5' cable is better for everyday practice. It's thinner than some of my other cables and thicker than others, so I'd say it's a medium thickness cable. The L shaped right angle works great to protect the cable from bumps to the bottom on my Les Paul style guitar. Works great for me.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2015Size: 5 FeetStyle: CableVerified PurchasePerfect. What can I say, no hum, no buzz. Solid construction at a good price point. It is so easy to mess up a cable, I have owned plenty of junk in the past. But why, when making a good cable is such an easy process? Just use quality materials, and the customers will beat a path to your virtual door. I'd give this cable 6 stars if I could.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2017Size: 5 FeetStyle: CableVerified PurchaseExcellent cord. Very well made and is soft and flexible. I really don't like stiff cords. It's not very long, but I only use it at home for my own personal enjoyment. I liked so much that I bought another so I can use my peddlers and amp. They'll last me a long time and I would definitely buy again if I need to.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2013Size: 5 FeetStyle: CableVerified PurchaseLet me be upfront. I often use my electric guitar unplugged. When I am plugged in, I don't move around a lot. So this cord does not get a good frequent use and abusing. But no hum or noise and seems solid. It was very affordable. Can't say how it would perform if used live and in performance all the time, but for the price, I can not complain at all. I suspect it will always work good for me due to its light usage.

The connectors and shielding on these cables are good and do not introduce much noise into a system.
The manufacturer has done a good job on this cable, but the user is responsible for two things (this addresses complaints I see in other reviews):
1) Take care of your cables. The right angle plug side is much stronger than the straight plug side; this is by design. Take good care of your cables and it should last you quite a long time. This includes taking the time to store them for use.
2) Make sure you know what length you need for a cable. The shorter the cable, the better for studio use. It reduces signal travel time and potential for interference (though these cables are shielded so the latter concern is moot). If you need a longer cable, buy a longer cable. Don't buy what is advertised as 5' cable and then write a negative review when you really needed a 15' cable.
