Product Description
The Litter Kwitter Toilet Training MultiKatKit was designed with the understanding that cats like things their own way - they do stuff when they like, how they like and at their own pace. This is why we love them - it's their independent streak. During toilet training cats are likely to progress at different paces depending on their differing natures. This isn't a problem unless their differences are great, in which case some cats might need a little more help. That's why we've developed the Litter Kwitter MultiKatKit. The MultiKatKit (a kit for multiple cats) consists of additional training discs that smooth out the transitions from red to amber to green, then to removing the Litter Kwitter altogether. They are basically additional amber and green discs with different sized holes. These help slower learners keep up with the faster ones and can help more nervous felines overcome their fears. Also, we all know individual cats aren't usually stubborn, but if yours is one of these rare creatures then the MultiKatKit can help with these too! It's like having more gears in your car - your cat won't notice the changes quite as much when they're picking up speed. Litter Kwitter sold separately.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2012You need the original 3-tray system in order to use this product, so don't buy this unless you have it already. The size differences between the original 3 trays proved too large for my cats, so the first time I attempted to toilet train them, I made my own transitional trays, first with cardboard (which became soaked and gross very quickly, even when coated with duct tape) then with a plastic cutting board. I had them fully trained for about a month before they regressed after we went on vacation and now that I've restarted the training, the last thing I wanted to do was go back to making my own trays again. I was very glad to see they're offering these transitional trays and I've had a lot of success with them. We're still at the green tray in this set, but it's gone much smoother this time.
For those who were frustrated about the liquids getting down around the edges of the trays, this is because of where your cat is squatting on the tray during the early stages. One of mine would do this too, but once we moved to the first green tray, he could no longer squat close enough to an edge to do that anymore. The system is designed to gradually push your cat's position to the toilet seat, so have patience in those early stages and accept that it will be messy until you get to the later stages. There are Yahoo groups you can join for advice on how to go about toilet training your cat and those are very helpful when things get frustrating and you're wondering where you're going wrong (CatsT-Training is the best one I've found for this).
- Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2010I am retired and have 2 young cats, a male and a female. I thought this would be great to get rid of using litter. I bought this as well as the main set-up, so I had the base and 5 trays all together. It went pretty well until the final insert, still putting litter in the narrow tray. The male would occasionally poop on the floor, but every time I caught them using the trays they would get a treat so they liked that. However, the male would put one paw in the tray while peeing and get pee on his foot. In order to help out, I drilled a few small holes in one end so that it would drain out. Still, it was working fairly well. Then I took a 5 day vacation with my sons family, and left the cats at my sons house for friends of his to take care of. I left a litter box there, because they only stopped by once a day to take care of them. Once I got home, the cats let me know they weren't going to put up with the toilet seat anymore. The male pooped on the floor and the female started pooping and peeing on one of my couches. The cats won. Litter box it is. In my opinion, this will only work if you have 1 cat and never go anywhere. You have to be there to keep it clean at all times or they won't use it, and they still prefer the litterbox. And they also knocked the whole thing over a couple of times.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2016I highly recommend getting this addition to the Litter Kwitter. While my previous cats had no problem with the original set, my current cats freaked out on the second tray, hole was just too large. I ordered these and have started over. Currently they are both using it successfully and I will be transitioning to the new amber in a couple of days. I've done it before and successfully trained 2 cats. You must have patience....it's messy...but you must proceed. Once they are trained, you see the fruit of your labor...It is so worth the trouble and pain!!! No. More. Litter. Ever.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 9, 2020I only gave 4 stars because ots itritating that this isn't already included in the kit. This system is expensive to begin with, but the multicat kit is NECESSARY to use the original system. YOU NEED THE LITTER KWITTER SYSTEM to use these training disks. All in all the product is well made and sturdy, much more so than any of the competitors and you really can't do the training (especially with multie cats or older cats) without this.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 25, 2022My 4 month old kitty is curious but training progress has been very slow and a little hit and miss. Training day 1 was June 2, 2022, which was the day “Mojo” was adopted from an animal shelter. When I brought him home he was accustomed to litter pellets. So, I had to slowly wean him off the pellets and onto flushable litter. I had a small litter box in the bathroom along with the LK red insert on the commode so he could get used to it. I also had a step stool next to the toilet. Once he finally adapted to the flushable litter, I removed the litter box and he did his “business “ on the commode with the LK red insert pan. Yay! We’re still on the red tray but I’ve had to swap out the red insert for a flat aluminum pan because the cat couldn’t adjust to the raised inner piece on the red pan - especially if the litter gets wet. When I made the change to a flat pan the cat started eliminating routinely so, after a short bit, I went back to the red insert. Then the eliminations on the dining room rug started again. I will warn you that you Must stay on top of keeping the pan clean. One week, when I was away for multiple appointments one day, the pan got pretty soaked and the cat has refused to use the red pan at all after that. So, we are back to using the aluminum pan insert. It’s a process, I’m sure. I was expecting to get a training video with the training system, but it wasn’t there. I don’t understand why the red insert tray has to have that raised ring in it. It’s a huge adjustment for a cat to go from a flat litter box to the ridged tray insert. Good luck.

5.0 out of 5 starsProduct came exactly as described. My cat did not like going from the original Red Stage to the original Amber Stage so the additional Amber Stage in the MultiKatKit is helping her transition much better! I am disappointed that these 2 additional discs are not standard with the original kit but it's definitely worth it. My kitty is almost 3yo and doesn't like change. Time will tell if she accepts the original Amber Stage after using this one for a few weeks. Today is day 30 using the LitterKwitter (Feb 29th).Should be standard - it's working!

2.0 out of 5 stars Incompleto
Mi è arrivata solo una parte del kit. Mancano altre ciambelle tra cui la ciambella bianca e quella rossa. Non posso adattarle al mio wc

3.0 out of 5 stars Waaaay too pricey for 2 pieces of plastic
I needed those two additional levels for my Litter Kwitter. First of all, way too pricey for two pieces of plastic. Second, it is bagged in soft clear plastic bag and shipped in a thin plastic white envelope (not a bubbles one). I would have prefered to be shipped at least in a box. I was afraid my items would have cracked while in transit. They were not, thank God. Happy to have acquired those two items but certainly not happy about the price, shipping and handling.

5.0 out of 5 stars Although this product is pricey, it is a good concept and much better quality than the cheaper versions, hence a lot sturdier.
It is a bit early to rate its success, as I only received this four days ago but already my little female Birman kitten is using steps to get up onto the toilet and is using this very happily. 1st day, I removed her cat litter tray, which I already had in the downstairs loo in readiness to start training her and replaced it with the LK on the floor in place of where her cat litter tray was. She had adapted to the LK well so after a day I raised it a little higher and again she adapted well. Third day I put the LK onto the actually toilet and put some steps with treats on each of them leading to the toilet. She started using it straight away, although she seemed to only do a wee on that day, today she did the full business and received plenty of rewards in cat treats. Hopefully, she will continue on this positive note. I will update later when (and I am sure it will be 'when' instead of 'if') she has successfully used the toilet without the assistance of the LK.
