I really like these steps. It helps that I picked them up from Amazon Warehouse for $28 but they work great, seem sturdy enough and look good. You do have to drill 1 1/2" holes for the handle ends to go through but with the flanges they are strong. I did spread out the handles where they go through the deck to make the space a little wider which helps. I also put a 9x36 mat under the bottom to avoid any tearing of the liner although the bottom step is completely smooth. Just didn't want to risk a tear. Update 6/3/2017: On our second season with these steps and they are working great. Update 5/16/2022: They lasted through 6 seasons without a problem. Sadly I broke the nub on one side where the handle attaches to the steps while setting them up this year. Hint-turn off your pump while installing so you're not fighting the water pressure. I got rushed and forgot. I did attempt a repair so we'll see if it holds. I did buy a new set just in case. Still, very durable. They were used heavily and by some pretty stout people.

good construction and easy to install. I did not like the clamp style deck anchors so I drilled a hole all the way through and put a bolt to hold it in place on the deck. the set screws (clamp style) worked loose during heavy use. other than that its a fine ladder.

I looked long and hard to find a ladder to put in my gooseneck horse trailer for easy access to the front overhead area. This ladder is perfect! It was easy to assemble and light weight. Sturdy, yet easy to hacksaw 8 inches off the curve at the top for the ladder to set at a comfortable, secure angle. (I also bought rubber end protectors for those.) I am up and down this ladder at every horseshow to get saddle pads, hat boxes, and boots. The convenience makes a world of difference, however, duly note in this application, I only weigh 115# and at the angle it does slightly flex. I am a happy cowgirl!

Ladder did not support weight of small adult. Plastic resin bent where it joins the aluminum hand rail and collapsed when the first person tried to get out of the pool. I didn't open the pool until one week ago and have passed the 30 return window for this product. Very disappointed I spent money on a defective product which almost injured a family member. DO NOT BUY THIS LADDER!

This is a fairly low quality made "you know where" ladder. I chose this specifically due to Bidenflation. I am the only one who uses my pool so it's fine. Don't know how long it will last because even being mindful of the cheapness & being careful it does NOT feel steady. That being said, it was the ONLY ladder that it affordable these days for light use.

I don't often do a review of a product but I don't know of any other way to get a message to the seller about their product. I would give it 1 star, but I have an issue saying that I hated it. I didn't hate it, I'm sure it would have been fine, but when I opened this product it was completely unusable. The poles that go at the top were two completely different lengths (by several inches), the holes wheren't drilled in the correct places so they didn't line up as I was trying to assemble it. In order to use it I would have had to drill new holes myself. I could have done this, but at that point i was concerned about the integrity because the ladder is small. Since this is something my daughter would be using I just didn't feel comfortable doing that. You may want to check with your quality control or whoever your manufacturer is. I did not have very high expectations because I knew I was buying a ladder at a discount. I ended up having to return it. I'm sure my experience isn't representative of the product in general given other reviews. My only reason for doing this review is that if I was a business owner I would want to know.

The ladder was easy to assemble and attach to my deck, however we did have to turn the poles around and drill new holes in them. It would not touch the bottom of the pool unless we did that. I does seem to scoot on the bottom when getting in and out of the pool. I ordered this ladder because it was inexpensive and I got what I paid for. Im hoping to afford a more sturdy ladder when this one wears out.
