Helpful, but too long for my finger
This is one of those, "Why didn't I think of that!" items.As a commercial electrician, we occasionally drop strut strap nuts. Most people don't care but it is a waste of money and time so I feel this will be beneficial, and at least less frustrating. There are other times when we tear off the spring nut springs and have difficulty manipulating the nut into place in strut so I see this as a help there too.I can see this being helpful in automotive use where dropping nuts into hard to reach places would also be helpful but, it would get really greasy and the cover may not last very long due to the super thin spandex on the sides.* They need to shorten the finger glove 1/8in or so, or offer different sizes as this is slightly too long for me. I'm 5ft 7in and my hands are average size so I wear size Large/Size 9 in most gloves. Just like some brands, with size 9s, the index finger is slightly too long. Maybe a S/M size would be better for me, IF they make that size. As I mention this, I just found a tag in the finger glove stating "L/XL" however, there wasn't a size option on Amazon when I bought it. The "L/XL" is pretty close to my normal glove size (LG Size 9) as it fits over my thumb, index, and middle fingers. Being slightly too long for my index finger makes it a slight issue as the index finger is the only one you use in this manner. Longer index fingers could get away with a shorter finger glove but shorter fingers have a harder time if it's too long.The problem for my use is we are required to wear full gloves and specific cut resistant gloves so, this does not satisfy that requirement and could get me written up.PROS:* It worked as intended at home on a 1/4-20 nut and bolt.* I think it will be helpful as an electrician.* I think it will be helpful for automotive use.* I think it will be helpful for clumsy fingers, if it fits your finger.CONS:* The L/XL finger glove is a bit too long for my index finger, I wear Large size 9 gloves.* The elastic on the sides is soo thin I'm skeptical it will last very long.* On construction projects we are required to wear full (specific, cut-resistant) gloves so, this doesn't comply.
