    I bought these scissors for a film that involved a ribbon-cutting. They were perfect. The material is strong, and the blades are actually metal.

    I was shocked to find that the scissors could actually cut very well, and the sound they make when closing is very satisfying. We managed to cut through a pizza box when playing around with them - so make sure they stay out of reach of children.

    There must be a very tiny piece of plastic in one of the handles (which are hollow to stay light), because when you shake them you can hear something rattle a bit. This was not a concern for us at all, as the scissors still functioned perfectly.
