I installed one of these in a Jimi Hendrix style strat and it works perfectly. The different switch tips are cool, I didn't use either on the strat but I needed a white one on a custom strat I built for my son. Would recommend these switches and I will order them again if I need another switch.

I have bought 4 and used all of them in replacement for the axes I am using for gigs, just to be on the safe side. These switches, when installed properly, are dead quiet, do not produce any hum, doesn't amplify any buzzing from switching pickups and is a direct replacement for import 5 way switches like Ibanez, Jackson, Schecter, etc. I installed into two mij Jackson, a on mij Ibanez and even a Korean Hohner and they are excellent in all 4. I am going to buy 2 more for backup because I use them pretty heavily since I am in multiple cover bands. Has connect for ground so that makes it easy, although you have to get the connectors quite hot to accept any solder. One thing I will point out is the connectors themselves are pretty weak and will bend easily, so be careful when installing and your placement on new builds. It is it insanely terrible but if you mess up a bunch it might snap on you. All in all I am happy I found these quality switches at a more than reasonable price. Another thing I will say is I haven't had a single dudd so the quality control is up there

Bought the original Fender 5-way switch to replace the broken one in a thrift store Bullet Stratocaster (early 2000s) but it was too tall for the cavity and didn't fit. This one fit perfectly, and apparently is a direct replacement for the ones used in the Squiers. Just looked up a wiring diagram, did a little soldering, and it worked immediately. Good stuff!

In its original condition, this switch will not split humbucker coils. Common terminals (or "lugs") 4 & 5 are internally hardwired or 'jumped'. 4 & 5 would need to be electrically isolated to facilitate coil splits. Another Amazon reviewer mentioned taking a "hobby knife" and severing the foil connection between 4 & 5 but, I wasn't interested in doing that. Concerning mounting screws, my original Ibanez (HSH) switch (3SWLSP5) used larger, 6/32 screws but, the more correct size may be metric. 6/32s wobble a bit in the Ibanez switch. The merchant informed me the mounting screws for the Musiclily switch are metric: 3mm (1/8 inch) diameter x 8.4mm (21/64 inch) full length (chrome). Other correspondence with the merchant proved unproductive as I was sent confusing and incorrect wiring diagrams along with a link to a Seymour Duncan forum populated by clueless individuals (not unlike the merchant). The answer to my question: "Can I split coils with this switch?" is NO. It's only good for SSS or non-splitable HH or HSH configs (in it's unmolested form). The following are my continuity test results on the Musiclily switch: (lever pushed to the extreme right (Position 1 or "Bridge") with the switch chassis and terminals facing you)
Position 1 ("Bridge"): 1,4,5,6
Position 2: 1,2,4,5,6,7
Position 3: 2,4,5,7
Position 4: 2,3,4,5,7,8
Position 5 ("Neck"): 3,4,5,8

Note how 4 & 5 are always connected. I couldn't be sure the "hobby knife" trick (Exacto knife maybe?) would work for me so I am returning these switches and ordered a Cortek 3PS1SC5 / 2502N from elsewhere. Yes, it's much more expensive but, I know it will work without getting "crafty" and like how they feel, as well as being able to use the stock black mounting screws (that don't fit in the Musiclily switch). Ok, keep scrolling through the confusion like I did lol.

I prefer the PC board style to the "old school" spring style switches but still use Switch Craft or Oaks Grigsby on my US made stuff. I use these to replace HSH Ibanez RG's (won't work for HH) switches as the RG body isn't cut enough for a US switches (although a little electrical tape against the switch that grounds on the cavity paint works if needed). These are great as well on any Squier or like import when needed. I also use them for pickguard builds when trying out new pickups.
