I bought these for a party in San Diego that was going to have a lot of smoke and light effects. I figured these would be a fun addition to my night after seeing a friend use similar glasses at a music festival. I had the option of buying the disposable ones but those were too tacky and I wanted something discreet. I wear seeing glasses every day and the frames I use just happen to be EXACTLY like these, so nobody noticed a difference or even suspected that I was trippin balls on the other side of the lenses! They're cute and do the job perfectly - definitely worth the money in my personal opinion. The only downside to these (and this is a general downside to ALL diffraction glasses and lenses) is that if you wear them for too long, they WILL cause headaches and temporary vision problems. I wore these for a few hours on and off which I think was key in my vision not getting too messed up but even then, after I took them off for the night, my vision was a bit wonky and I had a dull headache which I attribute to my eye straining problems. Remember, that like everything else, use these in moderation and you'll have a great time!
TIP:If you dabble in photography, photographing light through these lenses is AWESOME!
