Such a cool gift; Mushrooms grow with some TLC

Such a cool gift; Mushrooms grow with some TLC
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my dad. He followed the instructions and has since kept it in a shady area, spritzing it with water occasionally. He lives in the metro Atlanta area of Georgia (hardiness zone 7b). Now we have some cute little mushrooms growing! This is definitely something that takes some patience and care but it is totally worth it. The first two pictures are from 4/16/17 and the last picture is from 4/19/17.

One of my friends started growing shiitake mushrooms using a kit from this seller a few months ago and they’ve had great results. I was very excited to receive my shiitake and peral oyster mushroom plugs/shiitake log this week. One of my friends started growing shiitake mushrooms using a kit from this seller a few months ago and they’ve had great results. I can’t wait to start growing my own mushrooms at home!

Since this is a brand new experience for me, I’ve had to contact the sellers with a couple of questions and they have been very helpful and responsive with my inquiries. They seem genuinely interested in helping make sure their customers are pleased and have good results.

The materials were all packaged well and shipped very promptly.

I would absolutely recommend this product for anyone interested in growing mushrooms!

I have grown mushrooms for awhile now and was excited to try this out as I have never grown mushrooms from plugs. I followed all of the instructions and gave it several months but none of the plugs ever grew. I would like to get a refund but it's obviously past the return date. Hopefully the owner will reach out to me and issue the refund.

I would really like to give you a review and I would like to later but I just got my log. And it’s going to be a few months before I have any mushrooms. But I am very excited about this and I plan on having mushrooms in October and November I would love to review it then. I really think this is gonna be a lot of fun and I love mushrooms.

Something's wrong.....
Either it's a dud or I am! I did everything on the instructions, the one I downloaded form your website.
Nothing is happening....I'm so disappointed...I have it in my kitchen in a saucer with a tiny bit of water and tented it with a plastic bag...plenty of air. I'm very anxious to ave mushrooms !!!!! HELP!

So, I followed all the instructions, painstakingly so, and I haven’t seen anything grow. Been like 3 months, was expecting something by now. Maybe I will fix this review to a higher star rating when it does...I got a nifty little garden, put these guys well into shade and have just let them be after following the instructions...but yeah. I must not be a fun-enough-gi. Damn, that was a horrible pun.

Received a log that was dated to be inoculated 5 months before I received it. Looked nice and healthy. Watered every couple weeks in bath soaks as suggested... first soak loosened/made the white spots crack and fall off. We were worried the inoculation was lost. The log appeared to be the same after, very minimal growth (small spots growing on the ends of the logs that never really matured)... we grew inside during the heat wave but apparently they grow better outside when we got in touch with the seller on amazon. We tried the same thing outside with regular soaks. still nothing growing. It's been 7 months since we first received the logs/started... haven't heard back from the store in a month since writing this post. I wish we were better at this and the company gave better/more timely feedback to help us.
