Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Customers enjoy the train set's features, with one mentioning it's great for train time with kids. The train itself receives positive feedback, with one customer describing it as spectacular.
I have ordered this train 2 different times and got the wrong train both times. This is very frustrating and I am thoroughly upset. My 4yr old son is utterly upset.
WAS ALL FUN AND GAMES UNTIL THE CABOOSE STARTED TO SMOKE....OH AND IT'S NOT SUPPOSE TO, ONLY THE ENGINE, NOW BECAUSE I DIDN'T PURCHASE FROM AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ITS GONNA BE PAIN TO GET FIXED, I MAY JUST HAVE TO FIX IT MYSELF :( IF THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A FIVE STAR REVIEW.
NOT QUITE AS GOOD AS I EXPECTED. This set does not have Bluetooth and the electronics are not as advanced. A number of things to note. Firstly the speed varies with slope or on corners like the old analogue ones rather than having some kind of speed compensation built in. Secondly the sound volume id far to loud and cannot be changed by any means I could find anywhere on the internet. Some put a variable resistor in series with the loudspeaker as there was nowhere else it could be fitted. In the end I fitted an old Hornby points motor in series with the loudspeaker...... the old ones which have the wire arm sticking out. Using the common wire and one of the others this reduced the volume and did not introduce distortion as it is likely that the amplifier is class D. Pushing the wire arm in and out increases and decreases the inductive load giving some control on volume. The speed variation was a bigger problem and in the end since I already have 3 Pennsylvania flyers with Bluetooth I swapped the green metal locomotive body and as the use of the flyer without need good control ended up with a much happier set up. I made a small hole in an appropriate place in the back of the tender for the point motor wire to stick out and the volume id now fine for my use. I never use the announcements so the fact that they will now be incorrect for the locomotive concerned does not matter,. Irony of it is I paid a lot more fore the John Deere than the Pen flyers.
