- Reviewed in the United States on March 26, 2024Color: Dark-grey(length 16in)Verified PurchaseThese gloves are awesome! They're lightweight, well constructed and, while I initially thought they were a bit pricey, having them in my hands now tells me this was a good value. Really happy with this set and it just officially replaced my beloved 12-year fire gloves for camping!
The gloves came folded in a plastic bag and the smell of leather took over the moment I opened it. If you're sensitive to strong scents, open these outside and air them out a bit. It's a strong leather aroma. Like, just-walked-into-a-leather-store strong. Do with that what you will.
The fingers have a reinforcing layer on the palm side of the gloves. The palm has the same reinforcing layer, although it goes all the way around the glove and that layer is also double-stitched for good measure. The thumb is reinforced on both sides.
The stitching is quite nice – nice enough that they could use a bold, contrasting thread color, turning the stitching into an actual part of the design. Up close, it looks fantastic! There's even a handy loop if you like to hang your gloves.
My last pair of fire gloves came in at 14" and I didn't think these, at 16", would be much of a difference. I was wrong. These gloves go more than halfway up my forearms and I'm eager to get them in front of an actual campfire cookout.
Now, about the fit. I do have large hands. They're not huge, just large. So, the palm section was a good fit but the fingers were actually pretty snug. Snug enough that it was a bit of a relief to take the gloves off after a few minutes. That said, with some actual real-world use, I think they will loosen up a bit and mold perfectly around my fingers so I'm sticking with them.
My very non-scientific test involved heating up a cast iron skillet on the stove for about 10 minutes and then picking it up (by the handle) to see just how long I could hold it for. The heat resistance was way better than my last gloves. I could have held that skillet until the cows came home. I think these gloves probably have a higher heat rating than my last pair.
In a couple of my pics, I've flipped a glove inside out to show the sleeve and innards. I can really appreciate that they didn't go with lesser quality here just because it wouldn't necessarily be noticed by an average end-user. The inside appears solidly built. The forearm sleeve feels (and looks!) a lot like an insulated pant-leg – and it's more easily pliable than the glove body so it doesn't necessarily feel like you're wearing some kind of medieval warrior gauntlets.
Anyway, if you haven't guessed by now, I'll just spell it out. These gloves are a great deal and a quality product. I would definitely recommend this set.

Images in this review - Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2024Color: Blue(length 16in)Verified PurchaseI've been using the RAPICCA Welding Gloves for various high-heat applications, and they've proven to be outstanding. From handling hot metal during welding projects to managing my fireplace and wood stove, these gloves provide excellent heat resistance and protection.
What I really appreciate about these gloves is their robust build. The leather is thick and durable, making them suitable for heavy-duty tasks. The stitching also holds up well, even after repeated exposure to high temperatures.
Comfort-wise, they're quite good too. The lining is soft, which makes wearing them for extended periods more manageable. They fit well and offer a decent range of motion, which is crucial when you need both protection and dexterity.
One minor issue I noticed is that they can be a bit stiff initially, but they break in after a few uses. This didn't take away from their effectiveness, but it's something to keep in mind.
These gloves have become an essential part of my gear for any task involving extreme heat. Whether it's welding, working the forge, or even just tending to a fire pit, they provide the necessary protection and peace of mind.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2024Color: Blue(length 16in)Verified PurchaseFirst thing I noticed is that the gloves were used. It looks like carbon soot from welding. Not a big deal, but they certainly weren't clean and new. Second thing I noticed is that these are on the smallish size and will not fit everyone. Maybe that is exactly what you are looking for. I normally wear large work gloves so these are a snug fit, but I will probably keep them since I got them on sale and I don't want to deal with a return.. Most woman would have no problem wearing these and men with small to medium hands could wear them easily. If you have large hands, you may have a problem depending on how tight you like your gloves. They might stretch a bit and loosen up after being worn or if you get them wet. I don't think they will fit someone with extra large hands or thick fingers. About all I can say is that if you think they might fit, you could order them, but be sure to check with Amazon to see if returns are accepted if they are too small on you. On the plus side, the cuffs are a nice length for me, and the leather looks to be very durable. The leather is also soft and comfortable. It would be nice if the manufacturer gave some guidance on size, like maybe comparing them to ordinary work glove sizes.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2025Color: Blue(length 16in)Verified PurchaseThese are a great quality glove with nice bright colors. They are flexible and fit to around the elbow. They are one size and are a bit snug on extra large hands. They do keep hands from getting burned.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2024Color: Dark-grey(length 16in)Verified PurchaseThese gloves work great for loading my wood stove. We use the stove to heat the house and I like to precision stack the wood for optimal burning. However, the stove is so hot that without these gloves I just have to throw it in and hope it stacks well. These gloves do a great job protecting me from the heat as I reach all the way into the stove to distribute the wood ideally. Highly recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2024Color: Black(length 16in)Verified PurchaseThe gloves are extra long, which is good for overhead welding.
They are very comfortable, easy to wear, the sizing is spot on, and the heat resistance is fantastic.
I reccomend these gloves all day long.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2024Color: Dark-grey(length 16in)Verified PurchaseBought these for working with a woodstove since last year I got a nasty burn. I can pick up a burning brand with no issues at all. These are nicely long so they protect your forearm while reaching deeply into the stove. You don't have great dexterity but certainly more than you need while moving wood around in the firebox. It's perhaps a bit expensive but excellent for my application. I wish I had bought it last season.
