- Reviewed in the United States on March 7, 2020My 6 year old niece loved this kit. She likes to play scientist and mix potions so this kit was perfect for her. All of the lab experiments worked out. It comes in a decorative storage box with velcro latches. You can decorate the lab box with the included stickers. The ingredients and tools are top notch. I really liked the jumbo size of the three test tubes, perfect for little hands to hold onto. Even the test tube stand is a sturdy plastic piece. The booklet is a Barbie story line that introduces the lab experiments and lightly explains what it happening.
There are 5 lab experiments to do and they are a nice variety of activities. There is an additional included golden putty which is similar to Silly Putty. The first two labs are making slime. First, there is a glittery peachy colored slime. My niece thought the second slime made, which is a color changing slime, was super cool.
The third activity is an acid-base reaction using citric acid and baking soda and we added food coloring to each test tube just to make it more interesting. The kit does not contain colorants. Next was a fascinating lava lamp style acid base neutralization and you will need some vegetable oil to do this lab experiment. Last to do was growing crystals on a paper feather. This took around 18 hours to full develop, so give it time.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2019Purchased for my daughter for Christmas and she’s loving it! We are taking our time completing the different experiments, but she has really enjoyed the couple we have done so far. Recommend for kids who love to learn and love Barbie!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2018Those are the first words my daughter said when she opened this Christmas morning. She's eight, and loves science. I have no complaints about this set aside from the fact that you can only do these 'experiments' one time. She was done by 10am Christmas day. So although it was probably her favorite gift, it didn't provide an extended period of entertainment. I wish she could have used it more than once. Or that they took longer to bring about results. Otherwise I would have given five stars. Still worth the purchase.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2020My daughter is obsessed with this chemistry set. She loves the fact that she can carry it all around in a box that fits everything nice and neat. She loves to pull out all the different tubes and tools and tell us what they are and she loves looking thru her little booklet of experiments. It was definitely worth the money. She picked it out her self online and couldn’t wait for it to arrive. Which it did extremely fast. The only issue we’ve had is that the Velcro that latches the box closed comes off with the frequency that she opens it. But we just super glue them back on and it’s fine.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2019This was ordered as a Christmas present for my daughter. She was really excited to do the crystal feather experiment. Unfortunately, when we opened the package and began getting things ready, the container for the crystal feather was broken and our feather was moldy and already slightly crystallized. Needless, to say my daughter was disappointed.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2018My daughter gave this to a friend of hers for her birthday. She loved it and had fun with the experiments
- Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2018Nice kit, my 4yo daughter was excited and thought the projects were fun. She liked to after draw all the steps, which helped me too feel good that she learned a lot.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2020I purchased this for our two-year-old. Of course, I assisted with the experiments. She loves Barbie and science so I thought it was perfect. Honestly, her older brothers liked playing with it more. She does use the test tubes and glasses as well as the suitcase on a daily basis for her experiments. Interesting to see what household items she puts in her briefcase.
