Like all Fred products I have purchased, this one lives up to their quirky reputation. The directions listed for wine cocktails are incredibly useful, presented simply, and wonderfully funny.

Since I am not much of a drinker, this cocktail recipe glass with wine recipes is perfect for me. It has some great and unique recipes for mixing wine with other ingredients to give you a really nice cocktail (wine can get boring, especially if drinking at a cocktail party instead of with a meal).
The glass is good quality, but I agree with the other reviews that the printing on the glass is difficult to read. It is not only small, the shape of the glass allows the text on the opposite side of the glass to "bleed" through, so you don't get a clear view of any of the recipes. I would suggest that people print the Amazon picture which shows the recipes so that they have a hard copy. The printing on the glass looks a bit fragile (like it might scratch off or wear out easily), and I assume that is why they recommend hand washing, only.
I think this is a great idea with some execution issues. But at this price, it certainly would make a nice little surprise gift for for a host or hostess (or even for yourself). It's also a cute addition to a bar display. 4 stars.

When I was offered this product through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for an unbiased review my first thought was "great!" Now that I have the complete picture my response is ... less enthusiastic.
It IS a sturdy pint tumbler. It is kind of cool that it has the recipes for a half-dozen wine-based drink recipes printed right on the glass, with measuring marks so that it can also be used to measure out the correct volume of ingredients.
But - the recipes are specifically for wine mixed drinks. One recipe reads essentially one part cheap red wine, one part cola of choice, good isn't it?
There are OTHER glasses for your vodka recipes.... beer recipes.... gin... whiskey... rum... etc. There's one specifically for hangover recipes.
This is one of those things that the college-aged version of myself would have liked ... beside the meerschaum pipe I haven't seen since I was 19 and other paraphernalia of young adult-hood.
Now, decades later, I'm thinking it's something taking up space in my cabinet.

I’m usually a big fan of Fred & Friends products but this one doesn’t really measure up (no pun intended) to the usual novelty and usefulness of other Fred products I’ve purchased and used. First time ever. Shocking!
Anyway, this is a 16-ounce bar/cocktail measuring glass. It features seven recipes on the glass but only for wine cocktails, which seems – I don’t know – is “useless” too harsh a word? Why do you need a special measuring glass for wine cocktails?
The other thing I really hate about it is the marketing that states: “Designed in Rhode Island, by people!” That said, it’s made in China, which I get – everything is made in China, but I really don’t like it when companies try to make it seem like the country of origin is the USA by making little statements like this. It drives me crazy.
I’ll definitely find a use for this, and the glass, itself, is heavy duty, nice quality with nice printing details. Maybe I can drink my smoothies in it and imagine I’m drinking wine.
