Importance of Radiators

  • A radiator is used to help keep the engine cool. During operation, the engine’s moving parts create friction, which produces heat. The heat from the friction can be enough to cause damage to the engine if it is not cooled properly. The coolant will lose its heat into the atmosphere and is then pumped back into the engine where it absorbs and removes more of the engine’s heat. This can help keep the engine from overheating. Having the radiator maintained can also help to prevent a costly repair bill if the vehicle has a breakdown.

Product Description

This Aluminum Radiator is designed to provide maximum cooling efficiency to prevent premature engine failure. Its light-weight, and high-heat transferring aluminum features a tube and fin design that, dramatically increases surface area that enables the heat to dissipate more efficiently. This Aluminum Radiator is at least 40% more efficient than stock ones. Most importantly, it has a much higher capacity for coolant than stock ones, which means that your cooling system will be more efficient and will be more resistant to temperature surges in racing applications. In maintaining the impressive and efficient function of a vehicle, it is essential to ensure that it is heat free in any driving application. This is where a vehicle cooling system comes in focus. Among the less frequently seen part of the cooling system is the fan shroud. Crafted from heavy duty Aluminum materials, the part efficiently addresses harsh working environment. It facilitates the function of the radiator fan as it contributes in the maintenance of the ideal range of operating temperature in the engine.

    This is not a direct fit radiator for 87 R10 pickup, as the listing describes. The tanks do not have the ridges necessary for fitting into the factory mounts. Significant modification is necessary for a secure fit. The coolant hose fittings on my radiator did not come barbed, nor were they the correct size for factory hoses. I had to buy hoses from a completely different truck and then clamp them beyond normal pressure to get them to hold secure. Once it was finally installed, the radiator and fans do cool effectively... Until the radiator sprung a leak after two months of use. It took me a very long time to finally find the small pinhole leak. Luckily, I've been able to monitor my truck's temperatures and use to keep it from overheating, but all this extra work isn't necessary. This would be a fine radiator for custom applications if it didn't leak after two months. 9 months later, the seller has still not responded to my original complaints and now one if the fans quit working.

I bought on impulse. doesn't mention i would have to either bypass my oil cooling lines or buy an external oil cooler . Even if then the manufacturer doesn't even offer one. Weird. Its built nicely. Doesn't come with a diagram, instructions, stickers (LOL) & The aluminum looks painted. Theres drips on a few spots. I know welds dont drip🤷🏾‍♂️ ... Returning soon.
