Average velocity is 79 FPS on fresh batteries; batteries might rattle around in the tray [until problem is resolved].
My ProChrono Digital chronograph measured the speed of the darts fired (at peak rev) by this stock Nerf N-Strike Modulus Ghost Ops Evader blaster (yes, the names are getting longer) at an average of 77 feet per second (FPS) using the batteries that it came with. I installed fresh alkaline batteries (4x Duracell AA 1.5v) and the average jumped a smidge to 79 FPS. For both results I used Nerf Elite darts (it is capable of shooting any standard Nerf Elite darts; blue, green, white, orange, purple/grey, Starwars themed, Accustrike, and decorated Rebelle darts). The standard average velocity of a Nerf Elite blaster is 70 FPS, so it exceeds the average by a considerable margin within the Nerf Elite line. The light show that the Nerf engineers managed to string through the transparent plastic shell is something aftermarket manufacturers have been recently doing (like the Worker “Swordfish”), but Nerf has been making see-through blaster shells before anyway; reference the Sonic and Sonic-Fire/ Ice series of the now defunct Toys R Us line. The green LED (Light Emitting Diode) lights look very cool in the dark, and pretty cool even in the day. There is an LED light in the front barrel that shines through the clear barrel attachment, and a switch shuts it off when it senses that your barrel is removed. The inner-lit tubes that glow solid green look like glow sticks when the large transparent orange button is pressed on the front handle. This handle has a waffle-like panel in it that really shows off the green led light when activated. This front handle grip also has a circular thumb hole in it, and while this may be the perfect size for people with very small hands to use, people with larger hands will find the thumb hole irritatingly small. Those with large hands will find holding the entirety of the handle grip much more comfortable, but people with regular-sized hands may find both the hole grip and the full handle grip uncomfortable (either too big or too small). The Evader comes with a left side oriented mag well, well, you need to assemble it. A fair warning though: once attached, it does not come off unless you pop it off with a screwdriver through the jam access door. Speaking of the clear and slotted jam access door, the lights stay on even when door is open. This should have gone unsaid, but most things in the Nerf Universe shut off the moment the jam access door is opened, so this was an oddity that just caught me a little off guard. This design screams Spec-Ops class (hence being called Ghost-Ops) and it is styled like an SMG. The batteries are located in the rear of the blaster and can be readily seen through the shell, as are the flywheels, the circuit boards, wires, levers, and everything else. These internals look very similar to the Nerf Elite Stryfe, but apparently they are closer in relation to the Nerf StarWars First Order [Heavy Gunner] StormTrooper Deluxe blaster (okay, so the names are getting way too long) in that it has the exact same magazine-lock mechanism found in this StarWars blaster. I have found an issue with the batteries shaking around in the battery tray, making the glowing lights flicker when I am holding the light button down. This is a concern when operating the blaster, because you need to have power at all times, not just of the blaster is held the right way at the right angle. In regard to jams, there were none during my testing. Anyway, moving on, the ergonomics of the main pistol grip is average and comfortable enough, but the tapered aesthetic flat bar connecting the rear of the blaster with the base of the handle feels like it is in the way of my wrist. The rev trigger is comfortable but very large in comparison to the Stryfe or StormTrooper blasters. The mag/drum release button is the same as the Raider/Rampage/ StormTrooper(s)/ Mediator, or any side-mounted magazine well type blaster. The transparent orange main trigger operates as expected, yet, I wonder if the plastic will become brittle over time like the transparent plastic of the aforementioned Sonic Series blasters. The rear of the Evader has a Nerf attachment point that allows some cross-compatibility with most Nerf shoulder-stocks you to if you want. There are 3 Nerf tactical rails: one located top dead center for an optic, one on the right side near the front for a flashlight or side-mounted scope, and one on the bottom of the blaster, err, for... whatever you wish to connect underneath your blaster (???). There are 3 sling-mount attachment points: the 1st is right behind the barrel, the 2nd is also on the top of the blaster, but it is in the back by the shoulder-stock area, and the 3rd underneath the pistol grip. The latter two stand out because they are orange bars with sharp “hair-pin turn” shapes like a sideways “V.” For the aspiring young modders out there, I am fairly certain that the sensitive circuitry of this blaster will not be able to handle voltage modifications (Hasbro/Nerf frowns upon modifications to their products) without the proper checks and balances and electrical knowledge, expertise, or know-how to safeguard the circuitry from utter annihilation. The Nerf Elite Regulator’s circuit board was prone to frying, rendering it’s select-fire function useless, and it is highly likely that the [equally new to the Evader] Infinus blaster’s dart loading function will also be controlled by a sensitive circuit board that is unprotected (that is, once you remove the thermistor). In conclusion, this cool Ghost-Ops line blaster is a welcomed addition now that the Toys R Us Sonic series line is bowing out. I am not impressed by the Evader’s batteries rattling around in the battery tray, which I find a bit sloppy. But aside from this, “in light” of the design (pun intended), I will give credit where it is due. Good job, Nerf designers. I look forward to other clear blasters with anti-stealth night time tactics [here is hoping for a glowing sniper rifle type blaster].

Gun lights up, but motor is not working. Will not fire bullets. :(
Birthday present for my son. Big bummer....

      ^^^^^^DISREGARD MY REVIEW ABOVE ^^^^^^^^^^^

As it was a b-day present for my son I did not want to tear it all out of the box before giving it to him. Therefore, I tried testing it out without putting all the pieces on the gun.
In order to activate the flywheel mechanism, you have to snap ALL pieces onto the gun. The barrel, and rectangular piece that the ammo clip goes into, MUST be attached, to make the flywheel spin and shoot darts. I'm pretty sure I sent back a perfectly working gun (Sorry Seller) due to not putting everything together, and just assuimg that the gun was defective.
Went to Target, bought another gun, and had the same issue with it not working. Sweet kid at Target showed me the error of my ways. We snapped the pieces in place and it works perfectly.

There’s something truly special about this blaster. From the overall design to the internals of the blaster, there’s something worth appreciating. It’s an innovated blaster as it introduces Nerf fans to a new sub series (Ghost Ops). Additionally, this blaster has some unique features like the light up neon green LEDs in the blaster and choice of a clear design.

The flywheels feel like butter, it’s a smooth action that you can actually see in motion. They are also relatively quiet when compared to other flywheel blasters. The overall sleek design feels incredible comfortable. Do note that for younger children, the grip and fore grip may feel slightly bigger than other blasters. This is a medium-sized blaster so adding the translucent Worker stock will make it a lengthy blaster. Even Nerf stocks may feel slightly lengthy, although there is enough variety of short stocks to combine with this blaster. I assume that more accessories including stocks will be added in the future of the Ghost Ops series, so this isn’t any real issue - especially because of how comfortable the blaster is without any stock.

I want to emphasis how great of a modular blaster this is, it has three sling mounts and several rails for varies accessories.

Overall, this is a unique blaster with a ton to appreciate for the price. It’s definately a hallmark amongst other blasters and phenomenal way to introduce a sub series.

As a long-time fan of flywheel blasters, clear plastic to view internals AND compact design, the Nerf Modulus Ghost Ops Evader (too many proprietary adjectives there, Hasbro) is an instant hit on many fronts. Right out of the box, this is an impressive blaster that's a bit larger than it appears in pictures, but isn't oversized to the point of silliness. Beyond the Evader itself, this set also includes a cosmetic barrel attachment and a straight 12-round clip. It's worth noting that batteries are included with this product (demo only, but it's a nice gesture).

Ergonomics and design on the Evader are at top notch levels. The Evader sits comfortably in the hands thanks to its compact foregrip (which also houses the light-up switch) and nicely rounded trigger well. The rev-switch for the flywheel is large and easy to work, and the trigger is smooth and comfortable. Perhaps best of all, the side-loaded magazine well is very close to the hands, making it easy to reload (unless you're left-handed, but even then it's not too bad).

On looks alone, the Evader also gains praise for being both functional and flashy. The clear plastic allows you to see all the inner workings of the blaster, and the light-up function is both very bright and cool to see, especially from a short distance away. The only issue I'd take with this blaster's light-up function is that the blaster does not include glow-in-the-dark darts, as this seems like an obvious inclusion for a blaster like this, but honestly that's a small problem (and one that is easy to correct, if desired).

Performance-wise, the Evader sits on par with the majority of small flywheel powered and semi-automatic blasters, such as the Elite Stryfe (https://www.amazon.com/Nerf-N-Strike-Elite-Stryfe-Blaster/dp/B009T45XNM/ref=sr_1_5?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1535466467&sr=1-5&keywords=nerf+stryfe&dpID=5194zMQELQL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch) or Doomlands Impact Zone Desolator (https://www.amazon.com/Nerf-Doomlands-Impact-Desolator-Exclusive/dp/B01IK534JK/ref=sr_1_6?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1535466467&sr=1-6&keywords=nerf+stryfe&dpID=412DU39hyWL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch). It's a bit larger than its cousins, but not ridiculously so, and while the price point sits a bit higher the clear design and light-up function help to address this cost somewhat. While it's nothing amazingly new, the Nerf Modulus Ghost Ops Evader is a fantastic addition to the Modulus lineup and a great start to the Ghost Ops product line!

Great product if you are going for a great fun toy. There a catch to that though. It uses aa batteries and i used Duracell aa 1.5v batteries. This thing drains the battery out. So you will need a pack of 4 batteries for 1 month. If you use it for a long period of time, then you might drain a pack in 15days. And 1 thing that I would recommend is don't use rechargable a. They have an output of 1.2 v only. And this really degrades the performance of the blaster. So use either Amazon basics or Duracell batteries. And if you have the budget then you can use energiser batteries too. Overall the service and delivery of Amazon was great. The packaging was in its perfect shape though I expected a bit of damage coz it's a huge package. But there wasn't even any foxing around the cardboard. But the service might vary for you. But the product itself is super great. Great gift for 11 and 12 year olds.

For those thinking theirs is broken, odds are it isn’t — there are a few internal buttons that require the bits to be in proper order for the flywheel to engage.

      1. Make sure the jam clearing door is closed.

      2. Make sure the bit you snap in to hold the magazine is FULLY pressed in (it will audibly click — I thought mine was messed up for a minute until I pushed that bit in a bit further).

      3. Make sure the magazine is slotted as well.

That said, this critter is pretty great, and seriously underpriced at the moment (finally something significantly cheaper in Canada!). Works well, is fun, and looks pretty awesome with the glow on in the dark. Mine hasn’t jammed any yet, knock on clear plastic, and it’s been quite accurate. I liked it so much I ordered another one the day after so my wife and I could have more amusing kitchen battles with less chasing after darts (we tend to ambush one another with Jolts). Definitely recommended.

Note that it has a bit of distance between the grip and the stock mounting point, so if you want to add a stock, a short one will likely be best. The Strike and Defend stock works really well for my long aging 6’ tall dude arms (and the shield that comes with it fits the overall colour scheme well), but anything a bit longer, like the Modulus Mediator Stock, winds up being a bit much for comfortably grabbing the front grip (doable but not comfy). For kiddos I’d say no additional stock needed, or at most a short one.

Totalmente recomendado.
