An update on AKGs affordable, semi-open classic! For anyone who is looking for a daily use pair of headphones, these are not for you. I see reviews complaining about a lack of noise cancellation. These are SEMI-OPEN backed, which means sound can pass through. No noise cancellation. These are for professional recording and mixing applications in acoustically treated environments, not for wearing on the train. If you need your first pair (or just a stalwart backup pair) of studio headphones, then you need these AKGs.
