Though it came incomplete (without the screws & tape, I think I actually got a returned product that was missing parts) I had no problem mounting it with my own wood screws to my kitchen backsplash wall (which is actually Smart Tiles over wood). I don't think other types of Echo mounts would have worked due to the nature of my counter & backsplash. It's nice to have the Echo off of counter. And it helps the Echo sound better - more base since the sound bounces off the wall.

    I have multiple Amazon Echo Dots throughout my home, garage, basement, office and barn and these holders are very good. They are simple to use, strong (the plastic - I'll get to the adhesive tape in a minute) and work well. They have two mounting options - screws or adhesive tape.

    My only complaint is that the adhesive tape that comes with the brackets is weak. I decided to use the adhesive tape with the brackets I mounted in my house to avoid holes in the drywall. The tape only lasted about 6 months before the devices started falling off the wall. I replaced the OEM tape with a better tape and so far so good. In my garage, home office, basement and barn, I mounted these brackets with screws.

    I highly recommend these brackets for mounting your Amazon Echo Dot, but would suggest you get a stronger mounting tape and toss the tape that comes with them.

    I have used other mounts for various dots of different models. This one though is awesome. It comes with screws (and long ones that will anchor to a 2x4), anchors for drywall, and even the 3M removable tape. I have attached the mounting part to the wall easily enough with just the tape and it is holding well, but even without it will hold great using the other methods.

    Now, we have that tiny piece you mount to the wall. so small it is easy to work with, without being painfully small. next you have a separate piece for the dot. Uh oh, two pieces? Failure is suspect! But fear not noble Alexa user! This will actually be the easier part of an already easy install. One quick snap and your dot is mounted....seat it on the tiny wall mounted piece and give it a twist. DONE!

    So easy a cave...oh wait, i think that is trademarked. So...so easy my teen daughter can do it without looking up from her phone.
