I got a great price from Manila to Reykjavik but was puzzled about ...

I was all set to go on a 32-day trip to Iceland, Greece and Rome next month and was about to book my flights through Google Travel. I got a great price from Manila to Reykjavik but was puzzled about how to get the best (read cheapest) flights within Europe. Then I encountered this book.

I was skeptical about buying this book because I'm a well, "veteran" cheapo traveller. But I saved several hundred dollars instantly when I read about the various websites that Mr. Kepnes talked about in his book (specifically the ones that consolidate the low-cost airlines - not found in google travel). And over the next few days of booking accommodations, I continued saving. Well to be fair, the several hundred dollars savings was for me and four other friends - but still!

What a great book - excellent tips, well written and easily digested. I wish I had written such a useful book. The cost of the book is insignificant compared to what you would save even if you are a solo traveller so don't hesitate to get this book.

Full disclosure: I'm not related to Mr. Kepnes and paid full price for the kindle edition of the book.

Book came in real fast and in perfect conditioning. The packaging was nice. I liked the book. I finished it in two days, its real easy to read. The thing I enjoy about the book is that you could always go back and it read it when you come across dilemmas.

Great tips

There's a lot of "traveling the world" blogs around Internet, and the tips on this book are likely among all of them, but the specific tips for every region of the world really worth the time (and money) you invest in the book.

The only missing part is Mexico, but still is a great resource for advice about traveling gig the world.

Specific, Useful Instructions
by Matt Shaver (5 out of 5 stars)
July 3, 2016

I absolutely love this book. It lays out in detail specific steps you should take to prepare for travel, what tools you can use, and how to best time your planning and purchasing. It really is a book you will highlight and refer back to time and time again. Not all parts of it are going to be applicable to everyone, but if you're considering traveling abroad for over a week I would definitely recommend this book. I have saved SO much money by using what it taught me. $250 for a flight from NYC to London sound good to anyone?

Lots of truly useful information and we'll worth a read
by Amazon Customer (4 out of 5 stars)
October 22, 2015

Lots of truly useful information and we'll worth a read. Most of the tips are oriented more for the traveler than the tourist, an important distinction. I've used quite a few of these techniques over the years and can verify they work and in many ways (if not most) enhance the traveler's experience rather than hinder it. If I was new to travel, is read it at least twice, then keep a copy on my Kindle or smartphone for reference on the road.
