I bought this for my nephew as a joke and then couldn't bring myself to actually give it to him...because Lorraine Peterson wrote this book in all seriousness and with a genuine desire to help high-school-aged kids. A very noble intent. I feel like a jerk for buying it, because I really thought it was going to be a hilarious book. It's not. (Admittedly, my first thought was--if this was on a shirt, that would be amazing!! I would buy it!)

Sorry, Lorraine. You're obviously a better human being than I am--I'm glad you're out there, trying to help people. I'll just keep accidentally supporting your efforts by purchasing your books.

I had no idea this was about God and JESUS. Very very disappointing. I thought I was going to be receiving a guide on how to become awesome. Didn't know the title was referring to the god type of awesome. I gave the book away - I'm Jewish and I don't need to be Jesus-kind of-awesome.

I am very excited to share with everyone that this book has changed my life. I'm 26 and finished the book a few weeks ago and within days I was holding hands with girls and one even said she liked my shirt. I'm still working towards my first kiss but now that I'm awesome I know I can't go wrong!

For almost as long as I can remember, my brother and I have used the word 'awesome' in our descriptions. After reading this book, I have finally come to understand the naivete of my actions; everyday objects like those can only be classified as 'cool.' After, several months of practicing and applying the principles and lessons from this book I can see awesomeness on the imminent horizon.

This is a book for everyone, and I know the world will be a little bit closer to awesome if you read this book.
