Goodnight Brew: A Parody for Beer People | ||||||||||||
|
Product Description
It’s closing time at the brewery. While the moon rises, the brewery crew—including three little otters (in charge of the water), a wort hog, and a hops wildebeest—introduce us to the brewing equipment, ingredients, and styles of beer. Join this fanciful crew as they close down for the evening and say goodnight to the brew kettle, barley and yeast, hops and mash, saison, porter, IPA, and much more.
Befuddled about beer ingredients? Puzzled about the brew process? Can’t remember the difference between an ale and a lager? Don’t miss the brew infographics that follow the story!
This humorous parody of a children's literature classic is a "pitcher book" for grown-ups. It's a besotted bedtime story for beer lovers everywhere!

I got this as a Christmas present for my brother (he loves beer a lot). I ended up doing story telling time at my parents house over dinner before shipping it to my brother. It was very cute and funny. I especially loved the colors and the little details that they took special care with (for ages 21+ stickers, etc.) It was fairly educational too lol. I learned more about beer than I had ever known before. I would definitely recommend this to anyone (legal enough to drink) for giggles!

My husband and I have read Goodnight Moon hundreds of times to our daughter, so I thought this would be a fun gift for him. Such a cute and tasteful parody. He loved it! Would definitely recommend to fathers young and old!

This is a GREAT gift for any beer loving family with young kids! The whole book is super kid friendly and simple with great pictures. Then after it says good night beer lovers everywhere there are a couple pages of actual beer making facts and procedures. So you can read it to put your kid to bed and then learn about beer while you wait for them to be fully asleep. :-D
Great Book for Beer Geeks With Children!

This book is great. It has a label that says it is for adults over 21 years of age, but there is nothing in this book that would harm a child. The label is probably necessary because they can not market alcohol to children. But this book is not promoting beer it is a very well written parody of a children's book with excellent illustrations. Great for any beer geek with children.

Love it! Best for a father who brews or anyone who loves brewing beer or breweries that would also know the book Goodnight Moon. Reminds me of my childhood but if you don't have small kids now you might not get the referenced. In that case it's still cute and silly but it's a picture book after all.
Super fun gift! It will be a great present in 19 years.

So much fun! I'm going to be taking the book to all the family friendly and fun breweries we take my niece over the years to get the brewers to write special messages. We have quite a few in Central Texas that are designed as destinations for families with food and fun for everyone! I think it will be a fun 21st birthday gift and help bring home the impact of craft.

As a homebrewer, this book has it's appeal. It's bright colors are enjoyed by kids, but the process description and meaning is meant for adults.
Was glad to see all kid-friendly language throughout the book.

This book is hilarious. I ordered it for a Christmas gift for my brother who brews beer. He and I used to read "Goodnight Moon" to my son and daughter (his niece and nephew) so I have a feeling he will love it when he opens it Christmas Day.

Found this at a brewery in Denver (Intrepid Sojourner) and just had to order a copy for our home bar. It is hilarious and it rhymes. What more could you want?
This book would make the perfect dirty Santa/white elephant present. It really is a crowd pleaser.
Adorable book! Gave it to my husband

Adorable book! Gave it to my husband, who loves beer, as a Father's Day gift. It's actually not inappropriate to read with a kid at all, so long as they understand they themselves can't enjoy beer. And it helped teach my mother a little bit about different types of beer when she read it!
