This sphere is, contrary to what the image suggests, a clear blue marble with images printed on the outside. I simply adore all the little details in the continents though! I had a much smaller version when I was a child and loved it, so having a larger version with a bit more detail made my New Year! It comes with a little silver stand which you can use for display purposes. Altogether it is a very nice trinket be it for collectible, decorative, or educational purposes.

I bought two of these and put one on my desk at work. People like it, I just wish it were bigger. It is a cool little piece though.

neat collectible

I ordered this item for my 9 year-old son who is in the 4th grade. I expected the earth to be actually part of the marble and not on the surface, so I was a bit disappointed. Generally it's a neat piece to display. It even comes with a small metal ring that acts as a stand.

This is a pretty realistic globe in a small size. Very well done. The maps are actually pretty accurate. A nice item for a desk. I gave this one to my college age granddaughter, and she loved it.
