How It Works

The Gator Guard keeps unwanted visitors away from bodies of water – protecting areas from mess and fish loss with shocking effectiveness. Bobbing with the water and wind, Gator Guard appears to be alive with bright, reflective eyes and realistically painted head. Constructed of durable weatherproof urethane foam with UV-protected coating, the head measures a full 25 inches in length. The movement of the Gator Guard is natural and appears very random and lifelike, and pests cannot acclimate to the random pattern. Effective even in areas with no real alligators as fear is instinctive in birds, not learned.

The Gator Guard repels any birds that are attracted to water, notably geese (including Canada geese), cormorants, ducks, and other waterfowl and fish-eating birds, as well as some small animals.
