I have a 5 year old Yorkie/Pom mix that was diagnosed with a brain tumor back in July after having seizures. With his medications, leashes, harness and food bowls - traveling with him was a pain, trying to remember which of my bags had his stuff in it. I decided to get him his very own little bag and this is perfect. For the money - I am able to stash the notebook with his medical records, his medication, his travel food bowls, food, treats, additional leash and medication in this little bag.

We live in Nashville, and this bag has traveled the 3 hours to Knoxville (where they performed surgery to remove most of the tumor) numerous times and has made 4 round trips to Virginia where we took part of a clinical trial at Virginia Tech.

Great construction. The straps can be a bit stiff and tough to unbuckle, but otherwise a great little bag for under 20 bucks! I imagine you would also be able to use this for school. A notebook and maybe a textbook or 2 should fit.
***Update 12/29/16***

This little bag has been great. A second clinical trial worked and my dog is tumor free! That being said, he goes to work with me every Thursday and I carry his food, bowl, treats, and meds in this bag. It's also done a lot of traveling since my first review (6 additional trips to VA, at least 40 trips to work, and a trip to the beach in Florida) still looks brand new!
***Update 07/28/2017***

This little bag is still traveling with us. After a 6 month follow up MRI, we found out his tumor has grown back and spent the month of June taking turns traveling back and forth to UT Knoxville for weekly radiation treatments. It still looks brand new!
***Update*** 10.24.2018

This bag is still in great shape! It's traveled many many miles. It looks brand new and has been to patio after patio, to beaches, to friends and family, to many vets offices... and still looks brand new.

Also - update on Charlie - he's having seizures once a month due to his brain tumor - but it's been nearly a year and a half since radiation and he's still with us! It has turned into a 4 year battle that has been worth it! And this little bag has basically been a part of the journey since nearly the beginning.

I bought this for a LARP character and was super pleased! It's a pretty deep back and it survived many tumbles, rolls, NERF darts, and foam swords.

This medic bag is being used as a prop for a play and it's perfect because it makes a statement. I don't know if it would be durable enough to use everyday because of the straps, they seem a little bit flimsy, but the bags overall construction seems to be well made.

The packaging that it came in made the product feel cheep. I bought it as a gift so I was concerned at first. However, once removed from the cheepo packaging and rolled it up and wrapped it with a cute ribbon the bag is actually very cute. I love the leather straps. It would probably hold a couple 1 inch binders and a notebook. Maybe a laptop and notebook but it isn't very roomy. There isn't any extra pockets inside for holding small items which was a drawback. My friend who I bought it for (who is a nurse) uses it as a purse occasionally.

The quality of this product was much better than some buyers made it out to be. I originally purchased it for an upcoming jury duty summons after my purse broke, which thankfully I didn't have to attend. This bag is durable; the canvas is strong and sturdy and the stitching is solid. I recently used it to transport a large, 1 1/2 pound client file from a law office. I didn't think it would fit, but I managed to get the entire file into the bag with room to spare. The bag carried everything else I was dragging around with me(2 phones, an iPod, kindle fire, chargers, wallet, keys) with enough room for a lunch bag or a bottle of water, maybe both, but I didn't want to try it with legal documents :)

My only complaint with the bag is that the strap isn't quite long enough for me to wear comfortably over the shoulder, however it is thick enough that I can wear it on one shoulder without it slipping off. It stays put; and that makes me happy.

Very sturdy bag!

I bought one of these bags in black, and another in green for my boyfriend. We both love how sturdy these bags are. I ended up buying another for my neighbor who loved the look. We all use them very regularly, my boyfriend and I use them as our every day bags, and my neighbor uses it for her medical supplies, and they have shown no wear and tear even after months of use. Would definitely recommend!

Great bag, need for features

This is a great little bag for many uses. It has a good feel to it, not a cheap easy to damage feel. Can hold all your daily needs, such as pens, note pads, and occasion electronics. It by no means can carry a full size laptop or anything, but a tablet is no problem. It doesn't have much to it, just one empty compartment with no pockets or dividers. Has these strange flaps though, not sure what they are used for, they are on both sides of the bag that can go inwards and cover part of the top of the opening to the bag, but other than that i have no idea what they are. Well time to list the pros and cons.

Pros:
- nice "big" compartment (the bag itself is not that big but the whole bag is one compartment, with no restrictions)
- quality build for the price
- nice lock in the front
- decent should strap length

cons:
- only one compartment
- no pockets
- no dividers
- the locks are annoying if you have to get in and out of the bag all the time since they are like belt buckles
- the flaps get in the way

Overall the bag itself serves its purpose well in holding everything you need from day to day while looking nice. Good quality. But the lack of features and bad locking mech definitely pulled its star count down

This is a bit smaller than expected, but that's my fault for not reading the details. The fabric is also very thin and it's very flimsy. I wouldn't use it to hold much more than a single book.

I like the vintage look of this bag but i wish it had more modern amenities. The inside of the bag has no pockets or dividers so my stuff always gets all jumbled. Also i think inside compartments would have helped it keep its shape, because unless you put square shaped items in your bag it won't look like the picture. It is a bit annoying having to unbuckle and buckle every time I want to get something from the bag. I wished the bag had false buckles. like if it looked like a buckle on the outside but was actually had pop buttons for closure. But overall the bag has a very nice vintage feel to it. It is a nice size and it is durable.

Love it. Work as a Med Tech. Carries B/P cuff, Thermometer, Medical book and more. Very sturdy. I loved it so much had to order one for a friend.
