Nice blades but very thick
by Nitin Kakkar (4 out of 5 stars)

I am no tool expert, and my 20$ harbor fright saw can confirm that. Over last 1 yr, and have used 4 different blades on this saw..and here is my experience of different blades.
1) Harbor fright brand blade: These blades were junk avoid at all cost. Blades wear out in no time and whenever they cut it takes long time to cut, often stuck in branch and I can feel lot of vibrations.
2) Portar cable : These are only reasonably priced baldes I could find in Lowes (3 blades for 10$). These are sharp initially but wear out quickly. New blade cuts well for branches 0.75 to 2.5" think.
3) Bosch : These blades are sharp, cut well and last a whlie. However compared to milwaukee, these are very thick and tooths are little bit spread out, So cuts are slow and not the cleanest. This blade works well for branches between 1 to 3" think. and on somewhat rigid branch. When branches are green and flexible these baldes were a disappointment. But these last almost as long as milwaukee blades.
4) Milwaukee : IMHO best of these 4 brands at least. cuts thru rigid branches 0.5 to 3" thick, like butter. Very clean cut and lasts a long time. Again these are not for soft green branches. One milwaukee blade gave me more than 50 great cuts, and still going strong. That is more than 5 HF blades or 2 portar cable blades combined.

Very good performers.

Very pleased with their performance in demolition application on wood, but be very aware they are for wood only. I had forgotten about using my reciprocating saw to cut limbs & small logs which is far more convenient than using a gas powered chainsaw. I put my small generator in the back of my utility vehicle to power it, and not like a chainsaw chain which is immediately dulled when encountering sandy soil, these blades maintain their cutting ability very well.

stays sharp, lasts long

I used these extensively to prune large branches up to six inches in diameter for green wood. The blades cut well, and despite a large amount of trimming they stayed sharp until the end of my tasks. If you need to use them for projects larger than what I used them for, you need a chain saw. It's not so much the blade but the fact that a reciprocating saw is not the best tool for cutting large branches that cannot be secured and will vibrate when being cut.

I have used other brands, including everything from Harbor Freight to Milwaukee and this works as well or better than any of them. I haven't used Milwaukee blades of this particular type so I have no reason to believe that they won't be just as good or even better, but I didn't run into problems with premature wear or anything that would make me want to try another brand.

Very happy with these!

Honestly, I didn't even know these existed until a tree limb fell in my yard and tore through my kid's playhouse. While I was getting it off I pulled out my trusty saw and started to go to work with a normal "wood" blade. Then my friend hands me one of these! Sliced through that limb (around 4 inches thick) without even stalling. To be fair, I was using a Dewalt 18V Reciprocating Saw, so that didn't hurt. But I immediately ordered me a pack of these. Can be used to trim nearly anything around the house that would otherwise require a chainsaw or LOTS of energy!

Like, very much.

I've had many blades for my sawzall but I've not found better for trimming trees and brush. This blade and a good sawzall could replace a small chainsaw. It goes through 3" limbs like butter, I'm talking about 3 seconds.

Good blades for cutting branches/roots
by pioneerdat (4 out of 5 stars)

Used to cut 2" thick branches-like cutting through soft butter AND fast. Also had to cut some 1" roots-still worked well even through sandy soil (yeah, I'm not supposed to do that but the holes collapsed during cutting). Blades were used with battery operated saw. Blades were a little thicker than the Milwaukee blades that I had previously. Would definitely reorder these Bosch blades again, when needed.

These blades are INCREDIBLY sharp and TOUGH! I cut through a 5-inch tree in NO time, using a SAWZALL! THEN, I cut it into 4-foot sections. Didn't faze this blade. And I have FOUR MORE! These will last me a lifetime. Great buy!

Superb, long-lasting, pruning blades

I had to remove a large clump of bamboo from a friend's house. Bamboo is really hard on cutting tools and these blades performed better than the other brands I tried--I'll be sticking with these for future pruning. Also, the Freud DS0905FG Fleam Ground Reciprocating Blade, 9" is the EXACT SAME blade. Made in Switzerland, same tooth profile, same dimensions, just a different finish-- but more than twice the price.

Worked to cut down a tree with a 3 inch diameter
by swalker (5 out of 5 stars)
September 1, 2018

I needed to cut down a tree that was 3 inches diameter at the base. I had a reciprocating saw and though I would use these rather than getting an appropriate crosscut saw or even a small chain saw. These worked better than expected.

i used the Bosch on the Dewalt Rec'p saw saw and the blade worked effortlessly.... i thought i order'd just 1 blade, but got a package of 5 .... almost a lifetime supply... quite satisfied and amazed as the cordless can go some places real quick the chainsaw can't .....
