If hype could make my longboard roll, Bones Reds might have worked. I ordered multiple packs of these and combined them with various wheels and speed kits and attempted to ride them all for a reasonable amount of time but they never seemed to have a clean and fast roll even after weeks of riding. Maybe my expectations were high because of the high reviews I've always read about these bearings. Maybe I got spoiled (or lucky) with a set of Shiver's. I'm still willing to try Bones other lines, as they have a lot of good reviews, but I will be more hesitant in the future.

Redz make any board feel brand new

Redz are probably the best bearings you can get without paying a fortune. Seriously, unless you're a pro in need of high performance parts (which I already know you're not because a pro wouldn't need to read an amazon review on these, they've already used them and probably still do), there is no reason to buy anything other than redz. I usually get second-hand boards so I always put a new set of redz in before doing anything else. No matter what kind of board you have, you can make it feel brand new with a set of redz. I will never buy another brand of bearings.

If you're buying these for roller skates remember you need 16 bearings haha... just realized that myself oops so you need to buy two of these packages of 8

These are really good bearings for the $12 price. Four stars because there is no groove in the inner race so the shield/seal can form a labyrinth. The bearings will fail from contamination ingress before they have a chance to just wear out.

They also make great spinner bearings.

I just received my bones bearings. It was delivered super fast, considering I live in Turkey. However, the bearings were horribly packaged, quite severely damaged and to be honest, even though it was wrapped around a transparent bag of some sort, the inside box was shattered and felt as though it had be opened before.

Once I started spinning the bearings, I was shocked; because there was a hissing sound (which usually happens when your bearings are dirty or broken). It's not just the hissing sound, but the fact that it doesn't even last a second until it stops and turning feels sloppy, as though the insides are broken (I can feel the roughness on my fingertips). Since my old bearings started to break one by one, I had purchased some from China, and as cheap as the price, the bearings were horrifying. Thus, I ended up searching on amazon and found the bones reds, and now I feel like I've been ripped off (as it cost me more than 300 TRY in conversion). Truthfully, I can't even return them, because then I will spend a ton of money on shipping.

I know for a fact that these bearings won't hold a year, sine they already have a hissing, I suspect either they have been used before and cleaned perfectly, or I was just unlucky and got some faulty ones. Either way, I compared them with my seba twincam bearings, the old one, which is now somewhat broken, even after cleaning etc. You can compare the sounds and thereof guess for yourself, whether these are worth buying. (Hint: they are not.)

Do yourself a favor and get some real bearings, not these cheap ones; if you also love to skate, as much as I do, on a regular basis.

Great Buy for a starter

This is one you can buy without breaking the bank. It is on par with many of the more expensive ones in stores and online. This is great for people who are just starting out and the included bearing just completely suck. Of course, you always get what you pay for but for those casual riders, this is an amazing choice.

biggest bang for the buck they roll forever

biggest bag for the buck skating for thirty year on all types of surfaces use bearing that cost $40 a bearing. always used high precision Swiss bearing bur because of their precision they have to be cleaned all the time to keep them rolling. a little dirt or moisture kills the precision bearing these roll no mater what do even have to bother cleaning them they are so cheap put a little bearing lube and they go forever. caveat on super smooth surface you can feel the vibration from the lack of precision, but who is that level of expert rolling on glass like surface. It is just like the comparison of guns in the Vietnam war low tech AK's always worked even with sand in them high tech M16's a little dust jammed them up.

Fake Bones!

This bearings are fake. Their bearing seal reads "Bones® Reds®" as opposed to the genuine bearings which read "BonesTM RedsTM". Do not be fooled by the reviews!!! COMPARE THEM TO THE ONES BEING SOLD AT BONESBEARINGS.COM. Cheap but still got that bad gut Feeling after being ripped off.

Good bearings you can feel the difference when you push on your skateboard it doesn't require as much effort as when you use crappy stock bearings i definitely recommend these for any type of board wether its a mini cruiser,longboard or skateboard these roll good for sure.

My ABEC 3 bearings from 15 years ago perform better!

Don't be lead astray by the "Precision" claim on this product. They are NOT fast or smooth. Product came right out of the box sounding like they had sand in them. After one use they would barely move. I spent one hour carefully cleaning them and I can only home that will help this product. POOR QUALITY CONTROL will make me look to another source. Especially since my old ABEC 3 bearings that came with my skates from 15 years ago have a smoother roll then these bears, and they have not been used in 15 years!!!
