Just Right for the Price

If you're looking to add a little "snow" to your party, this product would be recommended. We purchased 2 of these to use in our children's area on Sunday morning. The kids absolutely love it! The timer and duration dial allow us to set it up and let it run until the snow juice is out. Kids will stand underneath it for as long as their parents allow them to play in the "snow". We are in the south and may see snow every 4-5 years, so many of the kids have never experienced real snow. There is no comparison to the real stuff, but gives the kids the experience of the snowfall.

The snow produced is basically soap suds so keep that in mind when you place it. Our snow falls on carpet so the floor never gets slick. We also have the formula to make our own snow juice. The snow juice you can buy has a very strong ammonia smell and causes some coughing when folks walk by. Pretty strong odor. Our recipe smells like soap. You can find the recipe online - basic components are distilled water, Mr. Bubble, and mint rubbing alcohol.

Each year we bring this out, it is a hit. If you have a tight budget, this is the way to go.

Just remember to clean it out before you store it or else you'll be cleaning out the tubes within the machine.

More like American Disappointment. This snow machine has never worked and it successfully ruined Christmas 4 years in a row for my entire family and all the orphan children. If it doesn't work next year I'm gonna leave my family.

I purchased two American DJ Supply SNOW FLURRY Special Effects machines for my outdoor Christmas display. I have a computerized display and these where to be this years new Wow factor at the end of the show. All I can say is WOW! In an outdoor environment (I know it is not rated for outdoors) it is amazing. The foam creates the exact effect I was looking for. The foam creates a beautiful flurry effect and floats for several minutes after the machine shuts down.
The only issue I have is that I purchased two machines thinking I would need both to cover my front yard. I was wrong! One machine would definitely haved sufficed. But from a person that has 30,000 lights and over a mile of extension cords in their display, what's a little overkill? (What was planned to be a gentle snow fall is now a blizzard!)

Dead at year 3

My ADJ snow flurry machine has died on me at year 3. At year 2 the pump was replaced. At year three, the blower has gone out and there seems to be rust marks all over. Is there some kind of storage or maintenance protocol for these machines? There is nothing in the owners manual on this topic.

Once I took apart the machine, re attached a wire and gorilla glued the motor back in place, it worked great.

Pretty bummed that they sent me a machine that was clearly dropped from a pretty descent hieght.

I did try to return it but was informed that i would not get a new one till after Christmas. So i fixed it myself.

Also i bought the timer for it, which did not work. It is unclear if the timer was broken or the connector on the machine. But i couldnt get the timer to work.

When i finally got the machine running it really was a cool feature .

So i would say that unless you recieve a machine that was dropped, it is pretty cool.

The Truth about American DJ Snow Machines

I first purchased this used from the the "Amazon Warehouse" deals and 3 out of the 3 units were dead on arrival. After shipping them and receiving different ones three times i switched to a brand new unit. It arrived and worked for six months then it to died and started leaking a brown fluid. I am now on my 5th unit and feel i finally got a winner. The foam is smaller and blows farther then any of the other units. I use the machine around once a week for parties and remember to always keep it topped off with Snow Fluid. running any effect machines (Fog/Snow) with no fluid is like a car with no oil, it will break fast.

Pros:

For the price, the effect is amazing and always keeps my guests in Awwww

No Warm Up Time, Just plug in and go!

The included remote control is great to have and works well

easily can be suspended in the air, just keep it level to prevent leaking

Built strong and sturdy

The Foam evaporates, so no clean up needed

Cons:
It is not snow flakes, It is Foam, and will make wood/marble floors slick fast
It sucks through Snow Fluid faster then a Hummer does gas. after just a few minutes of use your fluid is gone.
The American DJ snow Fluid gives off a really strong over powering mist in the air, that makes some cough,
Does require some power, has flipped several breakers at different houses

Thanks to its low price I still have faith in the unit and recommend it to anyone needs a snow like effect.

The snow machine barely worked the first time, but at least it worked, right. Then a few months go buy and we decide to use it at a Christmas party and it wouldn't produce anything. I would avoid this machine at all cost. Learn from my mistake.
