LEDGlow's 4pc 7 Color Interior Kit fits universally in any car or truck, features 24 super bright, wide angle SMD LED chips (72 LEDs in total) in (4) 9" tubes with 3 unique operating modes. Using the included mounting hardware, a near-limitless variety of mounting options are possible to illuminate footwells, under seats, or even under the dashboard.

Technical Specs
The included control box features 7 solid color modes, 4 fading modes, 3 strobing modes, and 1 sound activation mode. The sound activation mode flashes the lights to the beat of the music playing inside of the car using the control box's built-in microphone. Sound activation mode sensitivity is adjusted with a wheel located on the side of the control box. This LED interior car light kit features 7 solid color modes in blue, red, green, purple, teal, white and yellow. Each 9" tube features 6 ultra-bright SMD LED chips and 5' of wire allowing for maximum mounting flexibility. The auto illumination bypass mode allows the kit to illuminate when a door is opened, when the headlights are turned on or when the ignition is engaged. Out of the box, with 4.5’ of power wire and a pre-wired 5 amp inline fuse, this kit can be powered directly from the vehicle’s battery. For simpler installation that doesn’t require the splicing of wire or access to the battery, other power options are available such as an expandable circuit that powers the kit from the fuse panel or a cigarette lighter adapter that powers the kit from the lighter receptacle.

Great kit at an affordable price
by Marco Martinez Jr. (4 out of 5 stars)
November 29, 2016

I bought this led kit to add some ambience lighting to the interior of my Hummer and this product delivered. The light bars are made of plastic and contain diodes that alternate red, blue and green, meaning that if you choose blue, then only a third of the diodes are on at once and if you choose a mixed color like yellow, then some green and some red diodes turn on to create the appropriate color. The tubes wiring is a fixed length and attached to the control box, meaning that you cannot adjust the length. The length of wiring was more than enough to reach both front and back seats though, so much so that I had to zip tie and tuck a lot of extra wire. This set does have a "memory" function, meaning that if you set it to blue, cut power and then restore power, it will turn back on with the blue color. This was very helpful in my install since I wired it up to my headlight circuit via the fuse box with an add-a-fuse so that these lights only come on at night.

As for brightness, I can say that they are moderately bright. I previously had the opt7 interior led kit and that kit is a LOT brighter. However, I ended up returning that kit and stuck with this one. The opt7 kit gave off so much light that it reflected everywhere, even slightly reflected off of the ceiling of my truck. Not a bad thing and not visible from the outside of the truck, but it was kind an overwhelming amount of light for me. Personally, if you are just going to be adding the footwell lights, then the opt7 kit is a good choice but if you are going to be adding any other kind of ambience lighting, like cupholder leds or door handle leds and the like, then I would get this kit since it will add a good amount of light without detracting from the other lights.

What is personally disliked about this kit was the lack of options. Yes there are quite a bit of color patterns to choose from, but you cannot, for example, apply a pattern to only one specific color. So if you want a flashing pattern, you are forced to use all the colors, you cannot just have flashing blue. If you wanted to have something like a flashing single color, this company also sells single color interior kits. Also no dimming function. If you are looking for more functions/patterns, then the opt7 kits are the way to go. The music beat function is okay, but not accurate all the time. Works best with songs that have rapid punchy bass. Again, no single color music beat function, it cycles through all the colors. Honestly, I just wanted solid blue, but sprung for the multicolor kit just in case I ever wanted to change the color for some reason. Plus the slow fading color changing pattern looks really cool at night.

All in all, great kit at a good price. Designed for people for just want some mood lighting in their car and dont mess with it all the time. Simple, clean, and effective.

Ambient Lighting for your interior which won't break your posterior.....
by William Thomas (4 out of 5 stars)
February 25, 2016

When I traded in my regular Focus for a Focus ST, I didn't want to spend the extra 5K to retain my ambient lighting I really didn't think it would make a difference, but I was wrong. I immediately missed them. I looked up on Ford's parts site and they had a kit for $250.00, and they said it wasn't for the ST. ARGH!!! I looked on the internet for light kits and ran across these.

At less than $50.00 I had low expectations. But these are nearly perfect for my car.

Now for the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

The Good:

For the price you can't go wrong. The lights give an amazing glow without being "in your face" or too distracting. The interior of your car is immediately more inviting and it has various modes that allow you to change how frequently they change color in addition to selecting one of the 7 colors to display all the time

Installation for the most part is easy (more on that in the "bad"). It is entirely possible, with the 12V lighter adapter kit to install this kit without putting holes in your car. Each wire is six feet long, which if you mount the control panel centrally you can reach both front and back seat wells in a smaller car.

The lights have an on/off button but also can be set to turn on automatically when power is applied. How to activate this feature is explained in the installation guide. This is especially good as they will turn on as soon as you get juice to the circuit. Luckily my lighter turns off after 1/2 hour so I don't have to worry about draining the battery and the lights just automatically turn on when I power on the car again.

The Bad:

The lights are wired to the control box which makes installation tougher than it should. It is hard to "thread" any wiring due to the one peice "octopus" type nature of the kit. If you have a center console, you might be better to stick the controller in the console, power it from a nearby outlet (I have one in the console itself, so that's convenient) and then snake the wiring down either side of the center console and into the center trim. If I had to do over again, I might have spring for the "expandable" kit just for the ability to disconnect the wires from the main box to make threading the lights easier.

You need to research where you will mount these and how, before you get them. the back ones were easily zip tied to the bottom of the front seats on my car, but the driver side was a little tricker, finding somewhere to put a zip tie. The Passenger seat was the ardest as there just weren't many "mount points" on the passenger side, so I opted to use the 3M two sided tape that came with the device for the control box. Worked great.

The sound mode that is advertised is not very good and I was not impressed with the behavior. It's very schizophrenic and if you have someone who is prone to epilepsy, you could have a grand mal seizure on your hands. But seriously, the sound mode is more of a gimmick than a usable mode for me. It just flashed and was really not very good.

The UGLY

There really isn't one.

Remember this is not an expandable kit, so know that going in. Do your research prior to installation. Know where you will mount them prior to receiving them and how you will mount them. I recommend the zip ties or some 3M double sided tape.

At this price point, depending on your car size, you can illuminate all 4 foot wells and they look fantastic. The use of LED's ensure minimal battery drain when the engine is turned off. LED GLOW has multiple kits to fit your needs. Luckly for me My ST can utilize one of the least expensive available from LED GLOW and the results are impressive.

These kits really do add ambience to the car without being too in your face. Well worth the spend.

I believe 3m tape on it might have been best only for the passenger and driver side
by Cook (4 out of 5 stars)
March 25, 2017

CONS: I believe 3m tape on it might have been best only for the passenger and driver side. They mount with zip ties or screws, keep in mind the screws are so horribly small and when mounting them up front it is very hard to do and probably just end up stripping them out. I ran across newer lights in autozone that appeared flexible and newer style of lighting for a cheaper price point but I do not know the true quality of these etc. Wish it had a feature to adjust brightness of the lighting.

PROS: The zip ties end up being convenient mounting them all around the vehicle. The mic is a nice feature for the music enactment. Lots of features to the light modes. EASY installation, the LED GLOW people also have step by step youtube videos showing you how to install them which is very nice of them. Long wiring to make the accessibility easy and achievable. They provide with everything to make this happen inlucding the zip ties, screws, and as well the in line fuse. Good affordable price.

I chose to install the wiring directly to the power and ground . I have a system as I assume most do getting these lights so I wired it to the 'remote' wire in the back of the radio giving it power and found a ground connection under the carpet to connect to. I did not to make so much CONS but I did wanna give some critics to the product. Overall good product , cant go wrong for the price . Would recommend!

and they've worked great. The different lighting effects allow you for under ...
by Logan Staples (5 out of 5 stars)
June 9, 2016

I've had these for almost 2 years now, and they've worked great. The different lighting effects allow you for under glow to match whatever color scheme your car's interior has. I've never been great with cars, and installation wasn't that hard at all. I hooked the hot end into my windshield wiper fuse because it's only active when the key is engaged, so the lights come on when I turn my car on and turn off when i turn it off automatically. I simply ran the ground to a screw holding the fuse box and touched the frame of the car. Because the light's rods can't be unmatched without having to solder the wire back together it can be a little trickier to hid all the wires, but they are long enough that it is doable. I used zip ties and had to drill a couple holes in the plastic under the dash to hook the lights up. The other two lights where hooked under the front seats with zip ties. All told it didn't take more than one hour with having to google my fuse box layout and hiding the wiring.

Very bright, easy to install
by Tony (5 out of 5 stars)
May 15, 2018

These are awesome! I just wish I had ordered them sooner. I was worried that installation would be difficult, but it was about as easy as it could get. I ran the cable through my firewall grommet and connected it to my car battery. I also ordered the expandable fuse circuit, but unfortunately it is a different size than the fuses my car uses. So I have to manually turn the lights on and off. But with that said they are very bright, and there is enough cable to run to my battery and hide the excess in the interior plastic. I thought I would use the sound activation mode the most, but I like the constant red that goes with the knobs and lights in the interior of my car. My only complaint so far is that if you have your lights set to one setting and you decide to switch the sound activated mode, and then you want to switch back to what you had originally, you will have to cycle through all the settings to get back to the one you had first. So lets say I have mine set to constant red, but I want to show my friend the sound activation mode. I'll push the sound activation mode button, it will react to my music. Then if I want to go back to red I will have to hit the other button and cycle through all the modes to get back to red. If it had a recall button these lights would be perfect. But this is just a very petty complaint.

I zip tied the front two lights onto the bar you use to slide the seat forward or back. The bar is round, so I can raise or lower the LEDs by rotating them on the bar to pick if I want the light shining on the floor or up to the roof of my car.

Doesn't work
by jbferrer (1 out of 5 stars)
September 22, 2018

I installed and so far the only thing this does is flash through all the colors. Doesn't respond at all. I tried turning it off and nothing. I tried the mode button and nothing. This does nothing but flash through all the colors. I reached out through their website directly, I'll post their response if they respond.

UPDATE: Customer service was excellent. They sent another set of lights quickly. Problem is they still don't work. They're doing the same thing again. This time I was able to turn them off and on a couple of times but then went back to flashing rapidly. Just to be clear this isn't the first time I've installed LED lights in my vehicle. I've wired these up exactly like they should be. I have other lights wired up in my car and no problems. I have to come to the conclusion that this is garbage product. I let the good reviews fool me. I suspect that the reviews are "jazzed" up. Gonna see if I can return them. No use going through customer support again.

You can't go wrong, just installation is a pain
by Kate (5 out of 5 stars)
August 25, 2015

One of the best purchases ever.

They came in a small box and straight out of the box you were ready to install, nothing really to it, power to power, ground to ground.

GREAT variety of colors and options, they perform like no other, especially for the price, but the installation for my 06' Dodge Charger was a nightmare, fuse box is in the trunk, and power was almost impossible to find (rigged it to the drivers power seat), mounting them wasn't easy, but not impossible. (the 3M tape that came for the little box didn't work at all for me ended up using velcro strips)

As far as brightness they are impressive, pretty bright at night no complaints there

Day you can barely see them (for obvious reasons) not really a complaint

The sound dancing option is great, but I listen to a lot of trap or fast paced music, so sometimes I have to turn it up pretty loud for it to catch most of the beats, also has a strobe limiting option so you don't have a seizure while driving. It's also a little delayed on the beat flashes, but not too far off to where it's annoying, but I can hardly complain at all on that.

Don't know about the legality of these, but sitting outside of the car it's difficult for anyone to see the reflection of the light if it's only in the foot wells, so likely they won't even notice it. Unless they're in a much higher vehicle than you. If they do, it's not that distracting while driving.

Gets looks everywhere, also it's awesome on battery life, I accidentally left them on when I worked a 9 hour shift, NO drain to my battery at all, started up fine and lights were still going strong. Friends think it's awesome, and the pulsing color changing option is my favorite, great buy, just really difficult to install for my model car, prepare the zip ties and tape. Even more difficult if you have no experience in cars, wiring, or any of that.

Unit has nice selection of features
by K M (4 out of 5 stars)
May 16, 2018

Lights are installed in a 2015 Subaru BRZ.

Unit has nice selection of features, and was relatively easy to install. Just take your time. Couple things to note: included zip ties and double-sided tape are garbage. Get yourself some real zip ties, and buy a small roll of 3M double-sided tape, something that can hold some weight (that means it's super sticky). Instructions suggest to use an add-a-fuse, which is not included. If you go that route, make sure to check what type of fuses your car has, and how the fuse box is laid out. I opted not to use one; instead, I stripped the wire a bit more and installed it directly with one of my fuses into the fuse box. Worked great and is secure. The lights have been installed for about a month now, and I've had zero problems so all is well.

Sound Mode Requires VERY loud music to work
by Purple Rabbit (2 out of 5 stars)
June 4, 2017

I'll start with the good. These lights are very bright and the colors are pretty. The different modes are awesome - solid colors, slow fading, strobe, flashing. I have black interior and installed the lights under my seats. They look amazing when it's dark!

Now for the bad - sound mode. Sound mode works and looks really good, BUT I have to crank up the volume so loud for the sensor (built into the control box) to pick it up. This means that I'm never going to use the sound mode, which was a big reason for getting these lights... I think it's ridiculous that I have to turn up the volume so loud that the car next to me can FEEL my music for the sensor to pick up anything.

When I first tried out the sound mode, I thought it was broken - I played music and they just flashed blue. I contacted LEDGlow through a chat on their website. The told me to do everything I had already tried - play with the sensitivity wheel, turn up the volume (I thought I had tried a very loud volume, but apparently it wasn't lout enough...). They had me ship them in to be tested. Side note: I waited too long, so I had to pay for shipping which ended up being $7 (disappointing, but my own fault). Long story short, they shipped them back saying they worked just fine. I still couldn't get them to dance to the music, so I called LEDGlow. They told me that if you tap the box and the lights flash another color that means they work AND that is the test they use. Well, I knew that they would flash green when I tapped them but didn't think much of it. The first guy I talked to didn't say anything about tapping them to test and when I asked if it needed to be really loud, he said no. After this whole experience, I was so frustrated and disappointed. Sound mode was what I wanted and I essentially didn't get it. The customer service was BAD - I could have saved $7 and over a week of waiting if the first guy (HE WAS FROM TECH SUPPORT!!! SERIOUSLY?!?!?!) had told me that they test them by tapping the control and seeing the colors change.

I ended up keeping the lights because I had already invested so much time and money (also I wasn't getting my $7 back, yes I'm still salty...). However, I'm always disappointed when I see them.
*Disclaimer: I'm a college student, but I hate loud music and listen to headphones with the sound on the lowest setting. If you like loud music (I mean shaking the ground loud) and usually have the volume at 75% or higher, these are the lights for you*

Lights Are Bright - When They Work - Starting to Die Just After One Year
by PH_Brewer (2 out of 5 stars)
July 19, 2019

Purchased these light kit in mid-March 2018, installed early April 2018. Last month (June 2019, 14 months later), one tube has lost the blue portion of the bulbs, one tube comes on when it wants to. Just over one year and will have to replace my wife's lights.

Let me state that all wiring and tubes were routed in a fashion to avoid any crimping, pulling, or damage. Two were installed under the dash, 2 were installed beneath the front seats. For the ones mounted under the seats, enough free wiring was allowed so the full movement forward or back can be had without interfering with the wiring length. When I first noticed the one tube coming on only occasionally, I traced back all wiring to make sure nothing was pulling, which it wasn't, so no fix there. Then, the tube with the blue portion out - I traced back the wiring to check the same - no constrictions.

The pros: While they all worked, the lights were bright and worked well, and easy to use. If you understand how to route the wiring, it's not hard to do but you must plan the routes the wires will be in so that they can be installed. It's hard to rate installation as it depends on the knowledge of the person installing. I couldn't rate adhesion as I used zip ties instead of adhesive.

The cons: All 4 tubes are hard-wired to the control box. Many newer kits have connectors/adapters to avoid hardwiring and to allow additional cable runs, these dont. Sometimes, the buttons on the control box would not recognize the presses and you would have to press harder to engage the color.
