There are 2 different pictures of this product floating around...the one pictured in this listing and another pic with the same little girl but a much nicer looking elephant. The one shown in this listing is accurate and the feet of the elephant look rediculous..no toenail detail as shown in other pictures. The top of the animal is completely flat, the head is not taller than the back. The trunk is curved off to one side and looks stitched crooked on the one we recieved. This animal does not compare to some of the other Melissa & Doug animals. Quality and design is not good overall but I still hope my daughter likes it. I would suggest staying away from the elephant.

Not over 3 feet long! Not sturdy!

While it is cute I am extremely disappointed! I needed it to be a certain size and bought it based off the description. It says that it's over 3 feet long. I just open the box and it is not even close to being 3 foot long. It is only 2 feet 4 inches long. It is also not very sturdy and tips easily. Christmas is in five days and I needed it by Christmas Eve morning. It's too late to send it back & get something different. We have the giraffe and it's fantastic. This is definitely subpar in comparison.

First, I ordered Jerome the giant giraffe for our baby's nursery. Our baby is due in March. Jerome seemed lonely so then I ordered Ellie the elephant! They are so awesome. Our pug loves them (our cat not so much) and they look great in the nursery. Sometimes we bring them out in the family room to watch tv lol. The giant zebra should be arriving Tuesday. My husband has cut me off from ordering anymore but these were the perfect addition to our nursery and really well built.

Perfect for my elephant obsessed 3 year old that wanted a baby elephant for her birthday. She is obsessed with it. Could use a little more stuffing near the spine where the boning is to keep it up but the stitching is great. No weird smells, super soft and cuddly.

This is a wonderful toy! Big. Our granddaughter is 2 1/2 and is tall for her age. It would be great from ages 1-5 I think. She can lean on it and maul it all over the place to her heart's content. It's a strong dark gray. Very soft. Plush. Has a wooden internal frame you can feel if you press hard, but the padding over it is soft. If you want to make a kid's eyes pop, get this one. Our granddaughter loves elephants and actually squealed when she saw it. It's impressive. Most toys this big take up a lot of space, but this one stands on it's own. Highly pleased.

I have ordered the white tiger and the giraffe and BOTH WERE AMAZING! very large and the kids loved them. However... the elephant was very small. I am very dissapointed in the size and qualitiy of the animal. The other ones are beautiful and the size makes them very awesome. HOWEVER the elephant is a joke. If your looking for a large stuffed elephant. look else where!

Purchased the "ella" for my 2 year old niece for Christmas. When she opened it she went "Wow!" And was excited to play with it and wrestle with around with it. It stands up on it's own and is very soft. Melissa and Doug is always quality. Definitely recommend.

Very disappointed the size of the elephant is not true to purchase not 3" tall, disappointed it doesn't look like a elephant. It's shape just like the rhinoceros I ordered. This is the second time I've ordered a elephant. I'm looking for a stuffed animal that tall and looks like a elephant.

An elephant to love

This was purchased as a birthday gift for one of our great grandsons who is really "in" to elephants at 3 years old. We left it in the box, cut an "air hole" in the side and that is how he got the elephant. It was gorgeous and he insisted on sleeping with it the first night. Melissa and Doug have the most adorable and lifelike animals for children. They stand behind their product and give you a warranty on them for a period of time in some cases. If you want a happy child that loves one special animal, you would not go wrong to check them out for what you need.

Oh my gosh, this elephant is just perfect! It's a great size and very stable- a toddler can lean all over it and it holds up. To top it off, it's totally soft and plush, great to cuddle, no sharp edges. Great product!
