Really, really awful! Except for about 3 minutes, only one motor worked. For the 3 minutes, it moved at a snail's pace. Drinks have to be exacatly balanced or it lists to one side. Do not waste your money!!! I read 2 one star reviews prior to buying it and--one said only one motor worked and the other said it moved too slowly. I bought anyway-don't make the same mistake!!

So, a friend got me this as a gift...
I was pretty skeptical...
First off, it takes 6 D batteries and 1 9 volt for the controller (not included), so make sure you're all set on batteries before you get it...
The first day we tried it, it seemed to barely work at all. It would randomly make 360 degree turns and was slow as molasses. If you wanted to bring someone a drink, you'd be much better off getting out of the pool and walking it over to them... ;-)
So the second day I bought all new batteries for it, assuming that it was a problem of weak batteries. It was almost exactly the same.
The last time I used it, someone noticed the keel on the bottom, which I had never noticed before and didn't see mention of in the manual. Of course, if you don't want yours to do 360 spins all the time, you should probably utilize the keel from the beginning.
I do have tentative plans to make some modifications to it, probably removing the shields around the propellers and upgrading their size... But yeah, 2 stars...
