Flimsy. Broke before first use. Avoid.
by Dave Marcus (1 out of 5 stars)

Originally, I gave this 3 stars and said "I like it but it is a little small and not high-grade construction."

Unfortunately, I just dropped it from a height of about 3 feet, onto the floor. It broke, unrepairably. The materials were cheap and it is a waste of money.

Waste of time and Money
by Maddog000 (1 out of 5 stars)

Don't waste your time. I opened the package and pulled the arms open and the plastic snapped right off. I did not force it or pull it hard. Just opened the arms. It is one of the lightest and cheapest made tools I have ever seen. You could do better with popsicle sticks and string. This thing will not last one day in your tool box or on your bench. Don't put it in our pocket, it will break right away. returned mine for a refund. It is a waste of time and money.

Now I admit, it is a good idea. I would gladly pay a little more for a real tool that would stand up to more than me just opening the arms. And what is with Amazon. Not exactly environmentally aware. It came in a box big enough to hole 5o of these and filled with plastic bubbles. C'mon Amazon, get with it.

Great in theory. Poor in delivery. Very over priced

The concept is very cool, but to put it in my toolbox and expect it to last more than a week is unrealistic. It's very cheap plastic. I may use the parts to construct one of wood or heavier plastic.

Save your money and don't purchase this item!
by Lak (2 out of 5 stars)

I waited a month to receive this item, I knew it would take a while to receive it.

My biggest complaint (as others have stated) is: The holding bolt threads stripe easily because they are cheap plastic, the bolts have brass threaded nuts which work well. You will never be able to tighten up the unit and have it hold it's shape.

Great product idea but cheaply made

Very frustrated that I went to use this once and the cheap plastic nobs broke off. Great product idea but cheaply made. Very frustrated with this purchase.

Good product, poor quality
by Dan B (3 out of 5 stars)

It's great for cutting, defining angles, etc. However the quality is pretty bad. Terrible fitting screws, inferior quality plastic, super cheap design. I don't expect it to hold up very long.

Pieces of junks!
by P. Ly (1 out of 5 stars)

Bought two of these. Pieces of junks! The holding bolt threads are stripped. They came with plastic bolts and brass threaded nuts. The nuts are bigger than the bolts so they are loose.

Don't buy them. I don't want to waste money to send them back.

A little flimsy, but was cheap enough I wasn't expecting much
by J. Bruha (3 out of 5 stars)

This is a handy little jig that is good for crafts and home improvements in situations where you may need to cut more than one angle on something to make it fit. It does the job, but it was very cheap to buy and it shows in its construction. The plastic is just sturdy enough to work properly to mark lines, but don't use it as a guide for a cutting edge to follow, it is not stiff enough. The knobs tighten the joints enough for it to work, but the threads are a bit rough, there isn't a feel of precision to it. All in all, it worked for a couple small projects, but if I were in a business where I would use something like this frequently, I would want a sturdier one. All in all, for the price, it can't be beat. We used it to fit the last couple stones around our fire pit, and it was great for that. However, it doesn't give me a lot of confidence as far as longevity goes. Saved us a lot of time, though, to get all the angles right. While it does work, it follows the line you get what you pay for. If anyone makes a similar jig out of metal, I'd be interested in knowing where to find it. The concept is actually quite good, I just wish it were sturdier. I think if you dropped it off a ladder, it would likely break.

Leaves a lot to be desired
by M. Edvalson (1 out of 5 stars)

Ugh. This tool is a great idea, but the execution is poor. The plastic pieces don't slide super easily against one another, and as a result, one of the ruler sides cracked when I was trying to adjust it. Not that it is a huge deal, but the numbers on one of the rulers was all faded, while the others were nice and black. This is a handy tool, but man, there is so much room for improvement. I wish there were a more durable, and better engineered version of it. Definitely won't be buying again.
