dog's favorite glow ball
by Other Horses (5 out of 5 stars)

Lucy is high-energy, an aggressive chewer, and very picky about fetch-balls. She'll chase other glow-in-the-dark balls (ChuckIt, Nylabone, Planet Dog, Buddy) but she drops them as soon as she realizes they're not a "Powzer Glow Ball with Stars". The little raised stars make this ball easy to catch and grip, even when it's covered with drool. Lucy destroys most balls within a day, but these Powzer balls last more than a MONTH. Only ChuckIt Ultra Balls (favorite daytime toy) last longer. These balls are a little smaller and heavier than a tennis ball, and fly a long way -- but they're also hollow and flexible, and seem easy on the teeth. The colors all look similar in the dark -- with a yellowish glow that stays bright for 15-20 minutes, and clearly visible for another 30-45 minutes.

Appropriate toy balls
by SJR (5 out of 5 stars)

I am very impressed with the Powzer glow balls & highly recommend them for the following reasons:
1) They come in different sizes for different sized dogs. This is so important because one size does NOT fit all. The 3.25" (pictured above) are appropriate for large/giant breeds, as they are big enough so they cannot swallow them, yet small enough to just fit in their mouths.
2) The material they're made of is extremely durable
3) They have raised stars all around the ball to prevent them from becoming too slippery
4) They are highly visible due to the glowing material used

Many dogs swallow balls (tennis balls, racketballs, etc.) because they're too small. With these 3.25" I know my two Golden Retrievers are safe. [...]

Power chewer loves this ball!
by Mary B (5 out of 5 stars)

I have a medium-sized dog who is a power chewer supreme and a fetch finatic! She's chewed up nearly every toy and ball I've given her, even the so-called indestructible ones. I got her one of these thick vinyl balls and it was love at first toss. It took her at least six months to chew her last ball in two and that was with the help of the other power chewer in the house (tug has a way of doing that to most anything). The ball is soft enough that it's easy to throw and I don't have to worry about putting a hole in a wall while playing fetch inside. Since it glows in the dark, it's also easy to find when it rolls under furniture or "goes missing" outside.

dog's favorite toy
by Kate (5 out of 5 stars)
July 31, 2013

we used to purchase these for our dog at a local store, but they stopped stocking them. It's his favorite toy to play with so I stocked up when I found on amazon. They are slightly squishy so he can chew on them but not so much that they are destroyed easily. Still holds up for weeks even when he manages to finally puncture it.

We love to charge the ball up under the lights until it glows bright and throw it around in the dark for him... trippy when it's floating in midair on it's way back!
(ball lasts 3-5 months with our high energy english springer spaniel who chews on it daily)

Great fun, doesn't glow for long
by Kym Mae (4 out of 5 stars)

My dogs enjoy playing fetch with this ball and it has withstood a decent amount of heavy chewing from my terrier. This toy, however, is ignored by my dogs if a tennis ball is offered. I think it's because this ball doesn't bounce very well and my dogs prefer to leap and catch a ball in the air. Make sure to charge this ball next to a bright light source if you want it to have a decent amount of glow when you go out at night. Even then it's only bright for a little while then it fades dramatically after about 15 minutes. Usually games of fetch with this ball only last 20-30 minutes, which is not satisfactory for my dogs who are used to hour long sessions.

great for dog

I ordered 5 because its the only ball my dog will fetch..I received them in assorted colors and even tho my dog is particular (for some crazy reason) about the green one, he's learned to like the other colors. So in short, I recieved different colors and a slightly smaller ball with little stars on them or something..but it has worked out better for me and my dog. The old ones I had to boil to soften them up so my dog wouldn't punture it..just another tip for those ordering this. Def recommend although not sure what ball you'll actually recieve.

Tons of fun in a glowing package
by Smp (5 out of 5 stars)

My border collie is ball driven. And she loves this glow ball! She gnaws and chews on it and it is like new. We throw it indoors and out and it holds up like iron. Yet is it flexible and strong at the same time. This is our third one. The first she eventually cut with her teeth after a year of play. The second got lost in the woods. I have another in reserve in the closet just in case. But I will buy this again and again. It has provided countless hours of fun.

Disappointing
by Eva P. Noble (2 out of 5 stars)
January 10, 2012

I purchased this ball for my 1 year old Australian Shepherd to play with outside at night. The material is like a soft rubber, so sand kind of sticks to it, and it doesn't glow very much. My Aussie punchered 2 holes in it pretty quickly, making the ball flatten out when she picks it up. Makes it rather hard to roll that way.

I would not recommend that toy.

WOWZER POWZER
by tambo (5 out of 5 stars)
January 5, 2012

I had come to the conclusion that there wasn't a ball that my dog couldn't destroy....then I ordered a Powzer. I am amazed at the fact that it really is puncture proof....just like the ad said it was. At first I thought it was rather pricey and probably wouldn't last more than a day, like all the other balls I had purchased. The Powzer paid for itself in less than a week by putting an end to my purchasing new toys for my dog every other day. Great product......and the "glow in the dark" feature is really cool too.

Thanks Powzer...keep up the good work. Hopefully, there will be a complete line of Powzer toys on the market soon.

Lacking Brightness/Does not glow for long
by M.R.83706 (1 out of 5 stars)
September 18, 2011

I bought this item to play fetch with my dog at night, and wanted a ball he could see more easily than his regular tennis balls. I followed the directions on the package to leave the ball in the sun all day in order to power it up, but later when we went out to play it was barely glowing. In fact, I couldn't see it at all when I threw it more than a few feet. Ultimately, I wouldn't recommend this ball to others.
