I've been told many times that I turn things into pet projects. I suppose they're right, and I achieved success, I believe.

Raising children these days is a formidable challenge. My parents had it easy -- I know because I tell them all the time. Now that we know the dangers of smoking, I wanted to teach the kids why they should never start.

We bought these gloves and when they arrived, they smelled like a three-day old dirty ashtray at a small-town honky-tonk. The gloves promptly pulled out a pack of Camel no-filters and lit up -- right in my living room with the kids not 2 feet away!

I picked up some Nicoderm CQ and applied it to each glove. Sure the gloves were a little b***hy at the beginning, but soon after, the addiction was broken. My kids see that smoking can make you smell bad, learned that it's not good for you, and the quitting process is something they don't want to have to get to. I've also added 15 years to the gloves' lives. Mission accomplished!

I bought these this winter because (and posting the review now, see the reason below), well, who hasnt, but I was absolutely dismayed to find only ONE hole to hold a cigarette! I dont know about you, but I like to LIGHT my cigarettes while smoking them! There's no hole to hold the match in the other glove! So, I was forced to buy a second pair, and wear the "right" glove on both hands. If you flip the other one over, it fits the left hand, if not just a little bit uncomfortably.

But... the hole is too big to hold a match! I fit a match into the hole and struck it, ready to smoke in cozy warm comfort, when the match FELL out of the grommet! It landed on my parka, quickly catching it on fire. I've been recovering from the burns for the last few weeks, and can finally get online without being in excruciating pain from the 3rd degree burns I suffered.

I blame SuckUK for my burns, and a lawsuit is pending. Make the grommet smaller, your sadistic, cruel, irresponsible bastards!

Now There's Nothing To Hold Me Back

I've been considering taking up smoking for quite some time now. Knowing that public buildings no longer allow smoking I was concerned about the proper warm attire I would need to wear outside. These mittens are my answer. I certainly will not look like a noob while hanging out with my new more experienced smoker friends. I will have my Smoking Mittens.

Smoking mittens, where have you been all my life? What a fantastic product! I have tried every method possible to keep from shoving two fingers up my nose, bowling ball style while smoking. At first, I awkwardly attempted to hold my fingers down with my off-hand but that usually led to broken cigarettes or burned skin. Tape worked wonders but the sticky residue was hard to remove. At one point, I resorted to using a large spring clip that I found in the back of my desk drawer to hold my nostrils closed while I smoked. Sure, I no longer had fingers in my nose, but I looked completely ridiculous. Then I stumbled upon these beauties. At first glance, I was in love. The stylish yet simple design brought me back to the days of my youth thumbing through the pages of "Frosty The Snowman". I always loved his mittens, and it's very easy to see that whoever designed these was a fan as well. And the functionality! Now, the only "Gold" my fingers will be digging will be those Marlboro Golds that I love!

Before my poor little fingers would freeze and feel chilled in the wintry air, barely kept just shy of becoming numb by the feeble warmth emitted by the lit end of my cigarette. Now I can keep my hands warm and enjoy a long smoke out back and not worry about frostbite.

Great Design, Not too warm

Its a little tricky to get the cigarette thru the hole because the hole is slightly smaller than the standard cigarette. The mittens are not lined, so they don't keep your hands warm at temperatures below freezing. I recommend a cheap pair of stretchy gloves as well in harsher climates.

I use to be so ashamed when I went outside to smoke and looked like an idiot wearing my gloves with a blunt or cigarette in between my gloved fingers. I use to hide behind the house or inside my car to escape for the ridicule and save my family from my disappointment. Now with these now gloves, when I go smoke, I'm perfectly normal now. Thank you, Smoking Gloves!!!

I purchased these as a gift and I'm a non-smoker, so I haven't worn or used them. But I can say that they packaging is really cool! And the mittens appeared to be good quality. This purchase exceeded my expectations and I was happy to give these mittens as a gift. :)

I used to look like such an idiot using gloves to keep my hands warm whenever I went out for a smoke. Those days are over, though, because I can do smoke in style with these dapper sons o bitches. My only complaint is that now the ladies can't seem to get their hands off of me!
