Product Description
The ultimate grilling companion, this hardworking brush uses the power of steam to tackle even the toughest grease and residue buildup. Featuring strong stainless-steel bristles, the unit works aggressively on messes, while protecting cast-iron, steel, and porcelain grill grates from scratching and damage. Simple to use, just fill the handle with tap water and turn the grill on low before scraping. The heat from the grill warms the water, creating steam that effectively loosens crusted foods and returns the grill grates to their original shine. Best of all, the unit's long handle protects hands from burns and splatters, and its two-sided removable dishwasher-safe head cleans easily and offers both wide and fine bristles, efficiently polishing between even the smallest of spaces. Use the storage hook for hanging the tool when not in use. The grill brush measures approximately 22 by 4 by 6 inches.KIT INCLUDES:
* 2 REPLACEMENT BRUSHES.
* 4 WOOD HANDLE SKEWERS.
* GRILL COVER.

Don't believe the "lifetime warranty"by AF84 (3 out of 5 stars)

***Lifetime warranty on body and water mechanism*** Don't believe this statement. I have tried to get Amazon and Grill Daddy to respond to my emails about warranty. Amazon told me to contact the manufacturer (which is fine) but Grill Daddy has never responded to my emails.
It's a great product when it's new but it will fail and you will have to buy a new one. Mine is 2 years old and it will no longer hold water. The seam on the body leaks now.
On My Best Buy List

I had one for probably 10 years or more but after leaving it outside every winter it finally cracked enough to drain out the water before the next use. This is one of those gizmos that I wasn't sure about when I bought it but quickly got on the short list of great buys. I've never found a grill brush that is as effective. The water comes out under the brush head so it doesn't immediately evaporate while you're scouring the grate. The gunk comes right off with little effort. Use it when your grill is near cooking temperature for best results. Of course this is my opinion but for the price, it's worth trying. Even if you don't agree, it is still a nice grill brush whether you use the water or not.
It is not a steamer, but works just the same..

IT WILL NOT UNLESS YOU LOOSEN THE WATER FILLING LID A BIT...
There is no magic there, there is no steam coming out of it...the idea is the water leaks on your "pre-heated grill" so it creates the steam there from the hot grill and by scrubbing really well, it cleans much better than a brush that doesn't have water. also there is a smaller one that sells here online and at Home depot, that one is crap. This Grill Daddy does the best job I ve ever seen and I've seen a lot..don't complain about it being large cause that is better so its more handy and takes more water.
INSTRUCTION:They might not tell you this, but add like a 1/4 cup of vinegar first then top it with water. you need to put some water then move it a little then fill again cause it sort of has a tight throat... Very Important, the valve when you turn it to on, it is supposed to release water. IT WILL NOT UNLESS YOU LOOSEN THE WATER FILLING LID A BIT to let more air in to get more water out..just work with it till you get the hang of it..that is why only 4 stars...cause the only thing that would get 5 stars would be one that actually plugs into an outlet and releases steam on its own, and that stuff is dangerous sometime...in my opinion its a brilliant idea for $18...when you finish the water the first time, just fill it again and do some more cleaning and you get brilliant results..I hope this review was helpful
Great Brush For Powering Through Gunk!
by Bob (5 out of 5 stars)

Excellent brush. This brush handles everything with ease so long as you follow the directions properly. Make sure the grill is still VERY hot, as in essentially just used, fill it up with water and you're good to go. The brushing is easy as heck, you don't need to put a lot of leverage into it, but if you need to for the tougher stuff I'm sure this would handle it with ease.
The only snafu I had with this was I waited too long to scrub the grill with and ended up overflowing my grease trap with water. Woops!! Make sure the grill is very hot otherwise you'll just scrub off all the food while giving it a bath.
Of course you can use it dry as well, but I would recommend taking advantage of the fact it can power off stuff using the water that drips through the brush. If the grill is hot, this brush will make sure your grill or at least the plates last longer than it otherwise would.
They have not improved their product. Too bad.

I am surprised and disappointed that these people didn't fix the fatal flaw in their product, which is the lack of a positive "off" position for the water valve. Instead, you have to, each time you use it, move the lever to the "off" position and then make sure that it is not dripping at all. More often than not, this cheap valve design will result in an empty brush next time you try to use it.
I bought one at least ten years ago and stupidly assumed that this glaring flaw would have been addressed and bought it again. Well, fool me twice, shame on me. I do understand that it is tempting to not invest any money in a product once the cash starts flowing.
A well marketed, leaky, gadget.

This is my second Grill Daddy Pro. I accidentally left my old one outside, through the winter, with water in it and it cracked, so this is a replacement. This is the best grill cleaning brush on the market. Period. Buy with complete confidence!
I take back everything I wrote in this review. After four years, and four of these gadgets, they all leak and no amount of maintenance or good care works to prolong their lifespan, of one grilling season. It's throwaway technology, as with everything else these days. And, as such, it should be priced accordingly. $5-10 is what it's worth. Get a regular grill brush and an old dishwashing detergent squirt bottle. Save your money.
Liberate your grill!

This brush is, first of all, massive. I was expecting a large brush to be sure, but not a behemoth longer than my entire forearm. In spite of the sheer size, the brush is not overly heavy. Very convenient to carry, and fits nicely under the grill for storage.
Even without filling the handle with water to steam clean, this brush cleans like an engine of destruction. Nothing, and I mean nothing on my grill stood up to the scouring this brush delivered.
As far as the steam action, I haven't really tested it. All I can say is that my brush arrived with no leak.
The only "con" I have for this brush is that I wish the handle was metal rather than plastic. And, given how well this brush performs as is, this "con" is almost entirely cosmetic.
Too good to be true!

I can't even begin to remember how many grill brushes I go through in a grilling season. I think every year I buy at least two. I've tried most of them out there and the grill still never came out clean or nearly good enough. I had seen this advertised in a big box home improvement store and kicked myself for not buying it at the time. Naturally it wasn't there when I went back!
It's a pretty big brush and it works magnificently on the dirty grill I had. It's a little awkward to fill at first and does take some time getting adjusted to it. I feel that with my strength I may crack the thing but a little gentle pressure goes a long way. This thing got my old grill area clean in a few minutes. We haven't changed our surface area since we bought the grill in the 90's.
Unlike a brush that I will throw away at the end of the season, this just needs a replacement brush. Sounds too good to be true, but it is!
Great Value, Great Size, Effective Tool

First, if anyone is reading this thinking this is a steam-POWERED grill brush, please review the product description. The brush itself does NOT generate steam. You merely fill it with plain old water, flip the switch, and the water trickles out onto the grill plate, creating steam IF the grill is hot. It CANNOT be used with the steam function on a cold grill or cold plates. Basically, you could achieve the same thing by basting or dripping water onto your grill plates and cleaning them with a regular brush.
That being said, this brush is HUGE and that makes it much better than a standard cleaning brush, in my opinion. I can brush down my large grill quickly and with relative ease. The bristles on the top of the brush are great for sticky spots or tight grooves around or between the plates.
You fill the brush with water, and it holds just enough to thotoughly clean a large grill one time. I usually fill mine in the sink or with the garden hose just before I fire up, so that it's ready when my food's done and my grill plates are hot.
Overall, the brush is an effective and easy-to-handle cleaning tool. The two grips make it easier to put pressure on tougher spots, and you don't burn or heat up your hands when steaming (assuming you're not sticking your hands where you shouldn't and are using common sense).
Now, if you did go back and review the product description, it is a tad misleading. This brush does NOT clean a grill with steam only by just passing it over. You have to scrub it just like you would with a traditional brush. It does clean quickly, though, and the size alone makes it worth purchasing.
Overall a great value. Has been caught in some surprise southern thunderstorms, cleaned my grill nearly daily for months, and still looks nearly new aside from some (expecred) bristle discoloration.
THERE ARE BETTER STEAMING BRUSHES

The Grill Daddy Pro Grill Brush is very large and does not work as well as some other similar brushes.
The brush is hard to fill because it is so long that it must be held almost level under a kitchen faucet (it hits the center divider or edge of the sink) , and that allows it to only take a small amount of water until it is removed and tilted to allow the water to flow to the brush head. This procedure must be repeated several times until it is full.
When the valve is turned on the flow is quite slow and the brush cleans OK but is slow and requires lots of scrubbing.
Another steam cleaning brush, the GrateChef Steaming Grill Brush is hard to fill and sometimes leaks, but has a push button water delivery button that delivers a large amount of water just as it is needed and cleans fast and completely, I own over ten different grill cleaning brushes and scrapers including those recommended by America's Test Kitchen. None of the other products are nearly as effective.
Best grill brush I have used

This brush does not have an elegant and superior look to it, but it isn't expensive either and does a great job as a grill brush. Whilst I haven't had it long enough to replace the brush element of the tool, I like that I can do that. The brushes are strong and scrub like hell. I thought the steam deal was just hype, but it really does clean well.
Some reviews are harsh, but I am not sure what the issues are. One review said you still needed the 'regular' brush after using this brush. Another review whined the photos 'made it look like stainless steel and it is cheap plastic'. The description (that would be the words you read as opposed to the pictures) clearly states this is made of ABS plastic. Seriously - it is under $20. Were you expecting a $99 WIlliams Sonoma brush for twenty bucks?
The brush could use a rubber gasket on the fill cap and perhaps a one-way vent in the cap to keep the water from dribbling out when the brush is turned upside down. Of course that all adds cost as well. The dribble is not a deal breaker.
I would recommend this brush.
