Fun Blender - Defective Jars

I've had the Tahiti blender for a number of years (did not buy through amazon) and have really enjoyed using it, making yummy frosty drinks. Everyone that uses it really enjoys it and it makes a really great addition to our outdoor beach bar.

BUT I am getting really tired of having the jars crack and then break in EXACTLY THE SAME place - on every jar. I've included pictures of three jars - but I've had five in total crack/break exactly like this. The picture of two from Sep 2015, the single jar from Apr 2014 and as I've pointed out, these aren't the only three. It's just a matter of time before the two with the cracks break...not happy, not at all.

It's been difficult to find replacements - Margaritaville doesn't have them and were totally unhelpful when I was trying to find them. I did find a company that did have one (just one) and so I was able to get the replacement. And when I talked to someone at the company where I found the replacement, I was told they are considering not carrying this product anymore due to the terrible customer service that they're getting from Margaritaville.

Overall, the blender itself if wonderful, but due to the fact that :
1) all of the jars have broken or are about to break in the same place,
2) the replacement jars are so difficult to find
3) the customer service is not very good,

I would certainly never recommend this particular blender to anyone.

Party maker!!

I gave this beauty to my husband for his birthday and he absolutely loves it!!! He's entertained at home with it, and has also packed it up and taken it with him to the party. Everywhere its gone it has been a major hit!! It includes recipes for Ritas, Slides, Colada's, Daiquiris, Smoothies and Coladas. He's also made snow cones, which the grand kids love!! So yeah, it's guaranteed to be an all around crowd pleaser, and without a doubt, worth the money!

It is large and we have a small kitchen with limited counter space, so I bought a beverage cart and a couple metal baskets to hold bottles, and he just rolls that baby wherever the party is, and it's on!!!!!

Only complaint is the cord could be a little longer, and ok, it's a little loud ~ so don't take it to a funeral.

Unreliable

Used it twice during summer (loved it) by Fall, ice dispenser was not working. Troubleshooting/taking top apart fixed it, used once again and it happened again the following time.. have had it 2 yrs, used only 3 times. Sadly bad advertisement for 100 guests at a party when product not working. Maybe buy the single and save yourself hundreds of dollars.

Although I enjoy using my Margaritaville Tahiti machine, the pitchers are cheap and leaked after 6 months of use. I can't seem to get replacement pitchers anywhere. When I call the manufacturer directly, I don't really get any answers about when and if replacement pitchers will ever become available. You cannot use the machine without the pitchers. At this point I have a $500 doorstop. Spend the money on a Vitamix. They stand behind their product and it blends better than this machine.

Be ware!

Only the middle blender works as how the commercial states. The left and right blender does not blend properly. One is too watery and the other dispense to much ice. I try to return the item but was unable because it was pass 30 days. Do not purchase your better off with a regular blender.

Oh my gosh!!! I love love love this machine!!! It is a solid piece of equipment and large. I keep in a cabinet when not in use. It works great and the recipes are easy to follow and turn out great. Clean up is not bad but I am very careful to take it apart and thoroughly clean it. When we have had parties, the first thing my friends ask is if I'm bringing out my margarita machine. Its a huge hit!

My one complaint is that it's not made with cleaning in mind. The bases the pitchers sit on get very sticky and should be able to be washed. I have to get a swab or a cloth and knife tip to get all the mess out of the crevices.

I love my machine. It rarely gets used but it looks good on my bar. It's a bit messier than I had hoped though. I find evidence of "splash" in every nook and cranny. Overall, it works well. I think a regular blender would do just a well, if not better. This thing is more so a "conversation piece." Good for those who entertain a lot.

Favorite drink machine!! I own 2 other Margaritaville machines but I love the size of this one. It looks so classy. I leave it out on the bar and get compliments about its look. Once drinks start flowing the real beauty shows. It automatically revolves to the side you want it's great for parties! If you haven't seen the video for this...it's a must!! Amazon had the lowest price and it was in stock!
