States and Countries are Mislabeled.
by J.D.M (1 out of 5 stars)

The shower curtain would be perfect except it was labeled improperly. It's clear that the printer was off set because the state of OH is blank, with the name "OHIO" written below--in KY, while "KENTUCKY is written into Tennessee, etc. The Northeast is completely a mess. And then there are some European and Central America misprints as well. Clearly this map shower curtain is not suitable for learning the proper placement of states and countries.

Poor resolution of all location names and country borders

There's no way to make out the words on this map. I have purchased Saturday Knight World Map shower curtain many times over the years. This is can't be from Saturday Knight. The photos uploaded with this review show the words of countries completely illegible. One is supposed to be Europe and one is supposed to be Russia(the photo uploaded is inverted). The real one from Saturday Knight is mostly see-though except for the lands. This one is all opaque. Save your money, you won't learn any geography by using this shower curtain.

The printing is 2 inches lower - DON'T BUY
by Jitu J (1 out of 5 stars)

Unfortunately the printing is off so Florida says Georgia and London is listed as in the ocean. I even re-ordered this and still the same thing.

The seller and manufacturer really needs to check these before mailing them out. Would have been great to have, but not if the countries are wrong.

5 years and going strong
by ZZH2FX (5 out of 5 stars)

Came back to buy a backup in case something ever went wrong or it started to wear out. In boys bathroom. Used every day for 5 years and it's in perfect condition. Wipe clean with soapy rag. Our print is fine--not that they read backwards in the shower really. My offers to replace it have always been met with, "No." Bought several of these in the past to have on hand but someone always begs for them. No smell after initial unbagging. We don't want PVC in our house but with newer construction our windows, pipes, who knows what else, comes with it. Last thing I want to do is purchase more and have them incubating in a hot, steamy shower with offgassing chemicals. There are "safer" materials but they will not let me replace it because it's clear and they like the map. And it's a novelty. I wouldn't use it as an literal map. But I have never noticed shifted printing so this must be a batch issue. We love it.

Be warned of historically inaccurate locations
by S. H. (2 out of 5 stars)

I LOL'ed when I took a closer look at this map shower curtain and realized that it is a huge misprint. The countries are printed a good 200+ miles (about 1 inch) away from where they are supposed to be. For instance, Reykjavik Iceland is in the Ocean, and London is in France, and Washington D.C. is located in North Carolina.

If I didn't find this so funny and wasn't too lazy to take it back down and repackage it, I'd return it for a refund or exchange.

Beautiful shower curtain, well made, NO ODOR
by Cool Stuff on Amazon (5 out of 5 stars)
September 10, 2015

I love this shower curtain. I've always loved clear shower curtains that have big designs on them. We've had panda bears, giraffes, monkeys, when our children were young. But then we graduated to the The World.

This is a fun shower curtain that goes with any decor. We've had several over the years that I've always purchased at Target. This time I thought I'd get this one because it was a good price and this newer version has the blue ocean of Antartica at the bottom which really livens it up. This one has a clear background and I really recommend that. I paired it with the Mildew Free PEVA 3 Gauge Shower Liner in Clear and added the Roller Shower Curtain Hooks and Rings in aqua and together they are a combination that can't be beat.

It is well made, a good weight, but not too heavy.

One thing to note, there is no odor. NONE. I read other reviews that talk about smell, but there is none with this one or the shower liner I bought with it. I especially recommend this and the Roller Shower curtain hooks. They look lovely together. I'm very happy with all three and highly recommend them.

Cheerful, educational and high quality
by J. Patton (5 out of 5 stars)

UPDATE: After 9 months, ink is wearing off in places -- most noticeably in Antarctica, which I guess is apropos. If this shower curtain is displaying climate change in real time then it should sure cost more than $20! A drawback to/warning about this curtain is that the ink side really can't be washed thoroughly without damaging the map.
-------------------
This is the second time we've bought this shower curtain. After 1-1/2 years, a couple small countries had worn off, so we ordered a new one. It's a nice, bright addition to our bathroom. We pair it with a white liner; this time around, we ordered the UFriday Elegant White Polyester shower curtain, and they work well as a set.

Great Curtain, looks good and educational
by Amberly (5 out of 5 stars)

When I was looking at this shower curtain there were two things in the reviews that concerned me:
1. The smell
2. Misspellings

I decided to buy it anyway. Here's what I think about the two issues:
1. The smell - it does smell when you first open it. It is made of plastic after all. The bathroom I put it in is very small with only an exhaust fan for ventilation. I hung the curtain, ran the fan for an hour or so and then didn't really notice the smell anymore. For me, the smell should not be a deterrent to purchasing this curtain at all. In fact, I have purchased several clear liners over the years that smelled much worse and for far longer.
2. Misspellings - I have not read every word on this shower curtain but so far, I haven't noticed any of the misspellings.

I really like this shower curtain. It's fun and educational. We have actually referred to it a few times when geography questions have come up. A few times I have sent one of my kids in to look at it to answer their own question. The font is not my favorite but it's fine. The colors are nice, bold but not obnoxious. The background is clear. The material is plastic, like a thick liner.

Overall, a great purchase - especially for the money. I will buy this again.

Great map!
by I. Ski (3 out of 5 stars)

I got this for my kiddos to study while

they're in the bathroom and have nothing to look at. Hoping it cuts down on their phone usage in there. I think it's working because my husband was explaining something to my daughter about Iran, and my son was able to tell him which countries are neighboring it as he's drawing it. That was very cool! I had a "yea mom!" moment in my head. It seems to be good quality. The only thing I don't like is that since it's clear, I had to purchase a solid white curtain behind it for privacy--wish it wasn't clear and it would be nice if they had a map on the inside shower part too. Since it's clear all the water spots and soap dry on it making it look dirty. I try to rinse it off but it still dries with the water spots. It doesn't really match my bathroom but I'll make that sacrifice in the name of education.

Misprint
by Anna J (1 out of 5 stars)
February 12, 2016

Disappointed. Originally bought this from Bed Bath and Beyond and love it. Fun for quizzing yourself on geography while showering. The original was getting mildewed, and I found this for sale, which is significantly under the BBB price. Unfortunately, it appears to be a misprint/defect. I didn't notice until I was showering, so it's too late to return, but buyer beware.
