Product Description
Pop Quiz, hotshot. Think back to a time when you were a young geek. Sure, you were brilliant at math, but being asked to solve problems on the chalkboard... That's the stuff of nightmares. Thankfully, that time is over... Or is it? The smell of chalk, and the feel of the blackboard is still fresh in your mind. If you close your eyes, you can almost feel the eyes staring at your back as you labor to engage your brain and simplify the polynomial. Can you feel your heart beat faster? Are your hands sweaty? Relax! This is just a clock! This lovely new timepiece appears to have been hand-written by that evil math teacher we all had to endure. Each hour is marked by a simple math problem. Solve it and solve the riddle of time. Or, you can just know that "52 - x2 + x = 10" happens to live in the "7 o'clock" position* and be done with it. * - Yes, we know that 52 - x2 + x = 10 allows for 7 and -6 as a possible answer, but since there is no such thing as -6 o'clock, the correct answer becomes glaringly obvious.Features

Pop Quiz Clock provides math challenge!

I was attracted to the color scheme and artistic flair of this clock -- as well as the mathematical challenge it presents. I purchased two of them as a gift for a friend who runs a math related business at two different locations. She loved them, and later told me that her staff and clients raved about them also. These are a clever way of utilizing math equations in order to figure out the usual numbers on an analog timepiece. For clients of different ages and math ability, it was challenging for them to understand and solve each equation. This item is very thin and mounts up against the wall in minimal space. The packaging was sturdy, and when the box is opened, there is the clock...beautifully displayed!
Came as advertised.

Looks great for sure. There is nothing protecting the face of the clock for packaging though so the "hands" got slightly bent. Took 2 seconds to bend back out though and it works great. Only downside I can think of is that it's not a quiet clock. Might drive you crazy if you have it in your room. I am able to zone it out as it's in my office though. Would buy from seller again.
cute, but flimsy

I like it. It's cute and amusing. Hung easily, and seems to keep time accurately. But it's pretty flimsy. I accidentally bent one of the hand a tiny bit while hanging it I guess, because I noticed it was ticking, but the time wasn't changing. Unstuck and reshaped the hand, and all is well.
So cool and unique

I was bored looking through here and seen this clock. I have never seen anything like it before, It is so different that every person that has seen it so far has said something about it. It is metal and even though it doesn't cost much, it feels expensive, its not cheap plastic. Very cool thing to hang up in a living room, just because no one else has it and it is just so darn neat
Nice novelty clock for mathy folks

Was a gift for my daughter who is a math teacher. She liked it and assured me it would be the first thing to install when school started back up. It's visibly attractive. Time will tell how durable it is.
Nice clock!

Cute product - I got it for my bed room. It shipped fast and looks good but
It ticks. Mind you, I don't think it ticks abnormally loud! No louder than any other clock.. But I'm a light sleeper so now I just have it on the wall without a battery.
So great product.. I'm the defective one here.
I'll probably regift it one day, but I like the clock a lot! If they ever make one without the tick, I'd get that one in a heart tick *beat*
Good for a classroom or gag gift, not for a real mathematician

If you are into science or math, you will see that they equations used here are pretty elementary. I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend who has a PhD in physics so the math is a bit comical. I couldn't really find any clocks with "tougher" equations so I went with this one. Although recently I saw one in the Sky Mall magazine that had more advanced formulas including calculus, but it was more expensive. Otherwise the clock gets the job done. I should mention that it ticks pretty loud so it wouldn't be good for a bedroom.
Cheaply made

This clock is cheaply made and no longer keeps time. I purchased it for my classroom (am a Mathematics teacher) and after the novelty wore off, so did the use of its hands...it's now a worthless novelty...
Works great!

Heavy Hands

I think this clock is a neat idea, and it looks cool. But for mine at least, the hands of the clock have trouble climbing from 6:00 to 12:00. It's like the clock isn't strong enough to lift them. So every other day or so, it just gets stuck somewhere between 5:00 and 7:00, still ticking, but unable to go any further.
