Bacon and chocolate.. everyone's favorite combination. I have had fresh bacon with chocolate and that is indeed a treat. This is bacon "chips" in chocolate. The bacon gets lost and there isn't much bacon flavor. The chocolate is top notch but I wasn't buying a plain chocolate bar. Still searching for the readily available chocolate and bacon treat.....

I purchased this as part of a gift for my husband. He loved it. I thought it was the weirdest thing I have ever tasted. In approaching your mouth, you get smell a strong smoked bacon smell up your nostrils, but when it hits your tongue, you first taste only the milk chocolate. The bacon in the bar is small and crunchy, like that of a chocolate Crunch bar just not as many crunchy pieces. This wasn't a chocolate bar that we ate in one sitting, instead we would get a little piece every now and then. It breaks into small ~1 inch squares but we snapped off smaller pieces because those were quite large. Product retained quality over several days of being opened and not refrigerated. While not jumping to order another, we would consider ordering again if the mood strikes.

Unusual combo, yet ridiculously awesome.

I admit at first I didn't think I'd like the combo of bacon and chocolate when I first tried one a year ago. Flash forward to April 2012. I wanted to splurge a little and I decided to buy myself this bar as well as for a friend. Mo's Bacon Bar is much better than a mere candy of just having a slab of bacon covered in chocolate. It's sweet but not too sweet. The taste of bacon doesn't interrupt the velvety smoothness of chocolate. The balance of sweet and salty is simply exquisite.

I recommend this for any bacon and sweet-toothed fanatics alike. BTW, I do recommend this to be paired with brown ales or a good quality red wine.

It's a chocolate bar with crumbled bits of real bacon inside, not a whole slice of bacon. I bought 7 of these as Christmas gifts for friends and family. Later, when I asked each person how it was, they all said Interesting or Different. None of them loved it and they all agreed it was too salty, but they still enjoyed trying it. This is a funny, unusual gift, but don't expect anyone to eat more than one.
