Discontinued for a reasonby Steven Morehouse (3 out of 5 stars)

Really poorly thought out game. I would have given it 1 star... but it does come with genuine Lego pieces, which is never a bad thing. But as a "game"... wow, no thanks. Not sure what they were thinking. The cards they give with the things they suggest you to build aren't feasible with the pieces and time they give you. Just the nature of lego... you need more pieces and/or more time or they should have give really simple items to build. It is no wonder these were discontinued so quickly.
Awesome Game - Played with just grownups

Another couple brought this game over to play yesterday. I've never built anything with Legos before, so I was skeptical at first. But it was a total blast. Don't get too caught up in accurately portraying what's on the card. You just need to do it good enough so other's can guess. (Guessing is half the fun.) For us, choosing the color of bricks we used was one of the most important clues to our build. Someone had a nature category and they started building with green legos and already we were shouting out..frog, alligator, leaf...etc. The little man lego is very helpful for building context around your item too. Believe me, none of the things we built actually LOOKED like the things on the card, but it was a riot. We played very quickly and only spent more than 5 minutes on a couple of builds (andwe used mostly the hardest category cards.) I do agree sometimes the categories don't seem right. For instance, none of us thought 'alarm clock' should be on the EASY card, but it was. I'm already buying this game for my 11 year old nephew and I look forward to playing it with him and others.
good game, but overpriced

The game is very well laid out, with simple directions and 3 levels of difficulty so even my 5yo could have play easily. We really liked the customizable dice. However, had I realized what was in the box (game cards, directions, dice, and a bunch of basic lego bricks with a few lights and 2 guys) I would have simply downloaded the Creationary App on my phone and played that way. I thought there would be more "fun" pieces included to make the game worth purchasing. I suppose if we did not have a giant tub of legos and a device to run the free app my review would be more favorable.
Fun game for kids and adults but expensive

My kids love this game even the adults. Lots of fun time for all ages.
I ordered this item used from Growth Press. The game was almost perfect. Is it missing an important part for the dice, the x2 piece and one of the cards is very bent and wrinkled. Aside from that the set is in good used condition although we will have to find out how to get a replacement for the missing dice piece.
Fun... very fun

We really like this game. It is pictionary with legos... which is kind of awesome. The only advice I have is when you're playing do not try and make your creation look like the illustration on the card... think much more **generalized**. Example, my 6yr old had to make a tent. It was an image of a nice rounded contemporary tent... which is impossible with the right-angle nature of Legos. But once I told him to think in a more broad sense, like, the typical triangular tents of old, then it clicked. It doesn't need to look like the image, just look enough like something that we will be able to guess it. (we will be playing again tonight).
Great Spin on an Old Classic
by Card13 (4 out of 5 stars)

Creationary is a great spin on an old classic game like Pictionary. Plenty of Lego pieces to build just about anything you need for the game. Beware...the difficult cards do have some doozies, especially in the building category. Definitely sparks your creativity. The Lego-challenged may find it difficult to try to build things instead of drawing them. However for old Lego buffs like myself, or new ones like my nine-year-old son, the game is a blast. Basically he and I ended up doing most of the building during the game and his little sister and my wife would do most of the guessing since they weren't as good at building. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars overall is I would have preferred to have a game board to go with the game to provide more of a set goal to reach. Lego has definitely raised the bar with this and their other new games.
Fun for all ages!

I love this game! If you and your family love Lego's then this is the game to get. Its like Pictionary but you build the pictures out of Lego's! The rules are broad so you can specify your own rules and even add more pieces if you want to. Its is definitely worth the price. The one downside is the containers in the box. I wish they were taller so that if the box was accidentally tipped upside down then the pieces would stay in their designated sections. Other than that I have no complaints with this game!
Great LEGOS game; not revolutionary but using LEGOS with kids that LOVE LEGOS is awesome.

First round with a 6 and 7 y/o was very fun. It was just challenging enough for them to really get into the competition. The fact that it was played using LEGOs was a huge motivator... my kids LOVE LEGOS. It took about 60 minutes for a complete session. The game concepts themselves aren't revolutionary, but the adaption to using LEGOS bricks makes it a great alternative to the other board games with children under 10. The 60 minutes we spent together was well worth the price of admission. We will definitely be playing this for the next few years to come.
Not so Easy to Play

I'm a play therapist and love the original Creator board game and wanted a newer version, but it's no longer in production so I bought this. I used it with an average 11 year old and we both had a hard time trying to build the objects in the picture. What I liked about the old board game is that the picture card was more of a blueprint to choose the bricks and to build it step by step. This one allows for creative design, but without any suggestions, it was way too challenging.
Fun gift, game part isn't the greatest

I got this for my husband as a present one year and he loves it -- we're both looking forward to playing it with our children in the future (our child needs to stop putting everything in her mouth first). It's a lot of fun to play with the pieces and build little things, but for two adults, the game part is a bit lacking.
It's a lot to pay for not a ton of Legos (I think I could pull together my own version for cheaper), but it's a really nice present for that Lego lover in your life, not just kids :)
