Work like they are supposed to but I went to Home Depot and got some very long nails and some very large (small hole for nail) metal washers and they work just as well and were cheaper.

Bend very easily

On our first camping trip we bent two of these. We've now used them several times, and found that even somewhat dense dirt can bend these, and if you hit a rock it is sure to bend. We'll continue to use them until I can't anymore, but I don't anticipate we'll get a lot of use out of them. We'll either go back to using firewood to hold the outdoor rug down, or find a better/more durable stake.

I was disappointed in this purchase. Its simply a set of thin/cheap nails with the "washer" cap. I can buy more sturdy nails and washers at the local hardware store for much less. Would not spend my money on this again.

Does A Good Job In Wind

These worked out very well in the high winds while we camped in Joshua Tree. We used 4 for our Reversible Mats 159125 Burgundy 9'x12' Swirl Pattern Mat, and we used 2 for the Coghlan's Pop-Up Trash Can. While setting up the mat in the gusty wind my husband said "I don't think this is a good idea.". My reply was "Prepare to be amazed.". These stakes were also easy enough to get out of the ground without damaging them. Two thumbs up.

Nice and easy to use. I like how easy it was to remove them at the end of our camping trip, just by lifting up the circle part. They are MUCH bigger than a washer. Glad I got them. I took off 2 stars, because it was missing one. It came with 3, instead of 4. I won't return them, because I didn't open the pack until we were at the campsite. So, I had to use them. I just put a big rock on the 4th corner, to hold that part of the rug down.

Great design. Nothing to trip over. Holds very well, but easy to pull out when packing up. Buy extra. Expect to bend a few stakes if driving into hardened rocky soil, but pays off with easy removal. Heavier stakes may be more durable when driving into hard rocky soil or gravel, but typically are not driven full depth leaving a trip hazard. Heavier stakes are also much more difficult to remove if driven full depth.

Slip-N-Slide Stakes

We used these patio rug stakes to hold down our slip-n-slide plastic. They worked like an absolute charm at doing just that. After the slip-n-slide though, I did use them for my patio rug outside my camper and they did exactly as they were supposed to there as well. No complaints at all. Which is good since it's such a simple idea.

Check grommet size before ordering

I had selected these to use on the tarp that I put on my deck to prevent water from getting in my basement. Unfortunately for me, they were too big for the grommets in the tarp that I used. However, my sister has these same stakes that she uses for her outdoor rug when they go camping and they work perfect for her. Hence, the reason I selected these. But again, unfortunately for me the size didn't work so I had to return them.

Simple Way to Keep Your Outdoor Rug in Place

These worked great to keep our RV patio carpet from blowing around on windy days. The large grommet prevents pull through. Easy to install and remove with a standard hammer. Work best if put in at an angle.

This pack of 6 stakes were exactly what I was looking for. Recently got a larger 20' x 10' camp rug, so needed exactly 6 more stakes to make it lay flat. Unfortunately, one of the stakes was screwed up from the factory and can't be used (see pic). Now I've got one section of camp rug that I cant hammer down. Oh well.
