Good Concept, Bad Execution
by Amber (2 out of 5 stars)

I bought these for my 4-month old twins, hoping for a hands-free solution to cut down on some of the crying when they want to eat at the same time and there's only one of me and two of them.

Fail.

Now there are 3 of us that are crying. These don't work. The nipple they come with somehow won't allow for suction -- I tried it too. Could. Not. Suck. Anything. Fortunately, I had some Dr. Brown's nipples on hand and swapped one out. It works with that nipple, but it's a 1-star product if it doesn't work as delivered.

Additionally, the hose kinks if you look at it wrong and with every suck, the milk flows back into the bottle. I suppose that would be prevented if you used an industrial-strength vacuum with the original nipples. Maybe not. I don't know because I could never figure out how to get the milk to flow with the original nipples.

Oh and cleaning these? Thank God I have nothing but time on my hands with infant twins and I can spend an hour threading the world's smallest brush through tubing (sarcasm font in case that was too subtle). Tubing that never comes clean. Ever. These make Dr. Brown's bottles look like they're quick and easy to clean.

Basically, I hate these. I wanted to love them. I tried to love them. I even modified them with different nipples in an attempt to love them. I don't love them. Great concept, horrid execution.

Ok so I won't go and write an unfair review on how horrible this product is to be logical this works for some babies and some not my son who is 3 1/2 hes a good eater this didn't work my issue is the suction mybe a wider strew is needed Iam NOT sure I know this much when I tested it it was hard for me to suck and keep it flowing consistently. My husband said maybe if I tried it a few times he might be right but I want to be able to use it ASAP . I feel it should be easy .The design of the bottle is nice and it's a little tricky to put together but once you get the hang of it it's easy. I am now ordering two other brands with the same concept to see which One has better suction In my opinion I think it's worth a try to see if your baby will take to it if not just do what Iam doing try some other brands. Hope this helps

Your baby will suck so much air to build pressure and thus will cause a very gassy baby

I wanted this to work so bad. Imagining your baby feeding themselves at an early stage is a dream come true. I'm very sad that it didn't work for my 6m little one. She couldn't get any milk out even I when I tried it either couldn't get formula out or kept sucking in air to build pressure to get the formula out. This made my baby very gassy & fuzzy. BEWARE and listen to the reviews. I wonder how it worked for the others..good for them.

Time saver and could be a lifesaver!

We used these with our older grandchildren, once they learned to use them they loved them. Our newest grandbaby would not use it at all as a young infant, but we are holding on to it for the 2nd round. We found that these work great for the grandkids for backpacking or bike riding or boating, with a young toddler. They can drink their bottle, through the straw, while the bottle is safely tucked away inside the backpack. You don't have to turn around to pick up the bottle that they threw down, half way down the path or floating down a river somewhere. For some reason older babies seem to master this bottle faster. We have been fans for years and believe if these bottles were correctly used by many more mothers there would be a lot less car wrecks, a screaming hungry baby is hard not to hear and trying to turn to give them their bottle while driving is very dangerous. So a time saver and could be a lifesaver.

Buy this for every mother you know!

People think this is not a good thing bc it takes away from mommy/baby time at feedings. However, this is a safe and genius way to feed your baby while driving down the road, shopping out and about, or while in stroller. It's so easy to use for mom and baby. My son has troubles holding a bottle; this works perfectly for him. I wish ppl wouldn't shame moms for using things like this. This is such a good idea and fantastic product! Now, while at home I do not use it, but while out of the home I do.

Love these!

We used these for our twins and now purchase them as baby shower gifts for parents of multiples... THIS is the extra pair off hands you need when having to bottle feed. Because these work without having to tilt the bottle upside down, you dont have to worry about babies swallowing extra air and, because baby/parents dont have to lift/balance a (heavy) bottle, just the nipple... its easier for them to "hold" and suck without the nipple going all willy nilly... leaving you able to help the other baby, or take a "me" moment... its much like a pacifier, only its connected to a bottle for feeding. I do not reccommend using as a pacifier... only as a feeding time miracle.

These are pretty easy to clean, but we always used the baby bottle microwave steamer sanitizer bags for the straws, nipples, etc to make sure everything was sterilized after washing.

Hands free heaven

This is awesome!!!! I read other reviewers comment about milk not getting sucked up through the straw. It happened to me and I discovered that the nipples that comes with the bottles apparently pulls slow. Problem was solved when I switched nipples. Now a steady stream of of milk flows through the straws. Also a small amount of milk is stored in the nipple to prevent baby from consuming loads of air! I love this thing. I felt bad at first because I felt this was a lazy way of feeding baby. But now I get so much done around the house. Its a lot safer than propping bottle up on pillows. And also less chance of baby choking, if he doesn't wasn't anymore my baby spits out the nipple like he does with pacifiers.

We can go on road trips now!

My 3 month old HATES being in the car. He'll cry and cry and when I try to give him his bottle he'll settle down until I can't tilt back the bottle any further. Then he just loses it. I purchased this because we were going on a road trip (Chicago to Milwaukee) and I wanted him to be able to eat and finish his food. We took this with us and it worked like a charm! I noticed he didn't like sucking and not getting anything right away (he's an instant gratification kind of baby). But, he managed to figure it out and it worked! Drank all his milk and fell asleep. This worked so well for us! It's fairly easy to set up. Pieces all fit,no spills or parts falling off easy. Cleaning takes a little effort but we don't use it everyday so it's not a big deal. The brush it comes with is the right size, cleans the tubes nicely. Also, not a lot of air gets in so he's not a gassy baby afterwards. Haven't had an issue with it yet! The nipple it came with was too big/long for my baby so I switched it out to one he does like and it fit just fine! I'm happy with this purchase because it really helped during our trip. I'm happy we can travel now!

They are a good idea, but not great in use because the milk has to travel too far and the baby doesn't like sucking air. If the milk stayed up at the nipple it would work, but it drops back into the bottle instantly if suction is lost (from babies mouth).

Our baby is accustomed to the regular bottles (where the milk comes out instantly), so when I tried this he couldn't do it. Basically, he sucks it up but the first 3 sucks are pure air, then the milk finally gets to the nipple but he has lost interest (thinking it isn't giving him milk so why continue), he stops and the milk goes back into the bottle. Second attempt, same thing.

Basically, as soon as you stop sucking for even a millisecond the milk goes all back into the bottle and the lines fill with air that must be sucked out again prior to getting milk.

Maybe with practice it could work, but our baby didn't like it, therefore neither do I. Maybe an older child would have more luck, our baby is only 4-5 months old....and he expects milk on the first, second or third suck, not the fourth....so he quits after the third suck for just a second and then tries again but has to start over...

Long story short he never got any milk from this bottle ever...we are saving it in case he can use it when he is older.

I wish this worked as expected - Back flow is terrible
by SKode (2 out of 5 stars)

The main reason I bought this is, thinking i can use it while I'm on road. But the product needs priming and with back flow, it's not serving what I wished for.

The product description said to use for babies who's able to sit up right position. My LO is 6month old and does it. But any age babies can not keep the suction up all the times. As soon as they loose the suction I mean for every gulp they get a break, then IMMEDIATELY milk flows back into bottle and it takes a ton of sucks to get the milk back in their mouth, thus babies end up sucking LOT of air. Before to this point baby is thinking she's sucking empty bottle and throwing it away. So I primed ( which I hate) and offer it then she's okay but as i said milk flows back immediately as they loose suction in between.

I hope the manufacturer address the back flow in next version. That's all i can do for now!
