It's okay but I can make a better Ham-Dog without it
by Timothy B. Riley (3 out of 5 stars)

I have been on a little bit of a hot dog kick lately and I decided to try this little gadget out. It seems cute and well made. I used 80/20 ground beef and sprayed the inside of the Ham Dogger with a non-stick spray. In order to keep the ham dog from falling apart I had to hand roll it into a cylinder before I put it in the mold. The ham dog shrunk quite a bit during cooking so if I had it to do over I might have used a 90/10 ground beef mix although the resulting ham dog would not have been as tasty as it was.

My final conclusion is that, although this is an inexpensive, nifty little item, I can roll a better hot dog shaped hamburger with my own hands. I decided to make this little video so that you can judge for yourself. I hope that it is helpful to you.

pure junk gadget, great idea but way too much work for the result. Foods stick and hard to keep intact after forming

I've tried to use this twice, the first just following the directions. I know, how hard could it be, right? Well, the meat stuck, then the roll of meat broke up. I tried it again a week later, using some cooking spray to coat the form. Same problem. I'll try it again in a few weeks and update if the results are better.

Meat sticks to it if you don't put oil on it every time you make a burgerdog.
