Product Description
These blue canary night lights are now commercially produced. The translucent blue canary sits atop an LED night light base with a sensor eye, which uses only about $0.25 worth of electricity per year. The light dims and brightens as the ambient light brightens and dims. Anfani LLC has a solid reputation for making and selling these night lights, and has been doing so for over a year now. Lights are individually packaged in a minimal amount of bubble wrap, and recycle-able cardboard boxes. NOTE: Please be aware that I am able to make night lights that look like this using a white LED bulb. I could not have done so using replaceable incandescent bulbs. The upside is that they use very little electricity. The downside is that the light will slowly dim over time, generally 2-3 years. This is normal for LED bulbs and is to be expected. I wish they would not dim, but until the technology improves this is the best option available.Features
- Sensor night light
- Translucent blue canary
- LED bulb

Use only as a nightlight!by Ducks scare me (5 out of 5 stars)

PLEASE, for the love of all that is holy, only use this as directed! I ignored the directions and figured it would make a good lighthouse and now my beaches are covered in shipwrecks. The countless screams of the Argonauts will forever haunt my dreams. Well, at least they would but for my only friend, my little glowing friend, who watches over me.

I can hear you in the outlet by the light switch. Watches over me just fine. This really is the best bee in my bonnet

Looks like all the good lyrics were used already in previous reviews, so I'll write a normal (a.k.a. "boring") review instead. Blue canary is pretty much what I expected from the pictures and previous reviews. When it arrive the canary was sitting slightly askew on the light assembly, but I found that the glue was soft enough to remove and reposition it. While I had it apart I painted a black band around the base of the canary to eliminate the light bleed mentioned by previous reviewers, so now it looks better at night. Lovely blue glow, changes intensity as ambient light changes. There is indeed a battery, so it stays lit (though more dimly) when the power goes out (or is switched off). Quite happy with it, would buy again. The misalignment and light bleed were easy to fix. And besides, it is the only blue canary available.

It's in the outlet by the light switch. It watches over me. It makes a little birdhouse in my soul.
This is my second one, as my first one gave out after a decade of daily use. It simultaneously honors my decades of TMBG fandom and keeps me from tripping when I go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
It watches over me perfectly.

So fun! Brings up so many memories of my brother and I singing this wonderfully silly song that I got one for myself and one for him. The canary is one piece, the light is a great solid color, and was packaged very well.
I love my blue canary!

I have my blue canary in the outlet by the light switch in my bathroom. I love his beautiful blue glow. Makes me feel he's always watching over me. I smile every day when I see him perched there.

"I have a secret to tell
From my electrical well
It's a simple message and i'm pulling out the whistles and bells
So the room must listen to me
Filibuster vigilantly
My name is blue canary; one word spelled L-I-T-E...."
Love it, but a wee bit too bright.

I love the look of this, and of course the reference. Flood was the first CD I ever bought and the first cassette tape I bought when I turned 16 to play as a new driver in my first car. It's very sentimental and a seminal part of my growing up experience. The light works well and stays cool to the touch. My only complaint is that there isn't any way to turn it down because it is actually surprisingly bright. I put it in the plug in the master bath and the whole door glows blue at night, which is a little distracting when trying to go to sleep. But it would be great for a guest bathroom or hallway, I think.

It's a blue canary night light. Put it in an outlet, by a light switch. 1990 is calling, and they want their nostalgia back.
OK, seriously, it's a blue canary nightlight. If you're singing the song, you get the context. If you're not singing the song, it's still a cute little nightlight, and you should buy one, either way.
