Never have to spill my purse again...or eggs...or soda...by Angellee74 (5 out of 5 stars)

I admit, I'm a horrible driver. Turn too fast, slam on the breaks, floor it....all of which has caused my purse to erupt and spew makeup, pens and other sundries all over the car. Some of which I'm certain my car eats and I never get back. No more. These little doo-hickies just slide right the bars of my adjustable headrest. I usually have them facing the windshield, but to avoid stabbin brave passengers in then neck, I occasionally twist them to the back.
I was worried that they would be too flimsy to hold much weight, but not so. In fact, I usually use them individually, rather than hook the handle over both to distribute the weight. I've hung my heavy suede satchel, packed with a notebook, surface laptop w case, 2 good size books, ipad and some other odds and ends with no trouble. The hooks show no signs of bending.
The handles of my personal bags are pretty wide (at 1.5-2 inches) and not very flexible, but the hooks give enough space so that I can still manage to get them in there. The length of the part of the hook that bends up is about 2 inches and gives you about an inch of space from back to front. They can also handle the padded handles of reuseable grocery bags.
One picture is to demonstrate the ability to hold weight (I have the bag hardware hanging by just half of one hook and it's fine) and the other is to give an idea of the size of the hook. The strap of my bag is 1.5 inches. The hook could easily hold a couple of two liter sodas...or in my case a few of the super-size wine bottles (they're for a party, I swear.)
What's not to love?
Great little gadget

Normally I put my purse on the passenger seat when driving (I loop the purse handle through my seat belt to keep it from falling to the floor on turns or sudden stops). But sometimes I have a friend riding with me, and I didn't know what to do with my purse then. This little gadget does the trick! I put it on the back of the passenger headrest and hang my purse there. It's easy to get to between the bucket seats but it's out of the way. They're also sturdy enough to hang grocery bags there, if you like.
Don't work on my car, will only hold purses with narrow handled

I'm attaching pictures of how these are in my car. Unless your seats are thin, or your headrests are attached at the front of your seat back, you're going to have the same issue. They are way off the seat contour. That makes for very little space to get your fingers in between the seat and hook to get items unhooked. I had to twist in my seat because it required two hands. And it will only hold a purse with handles a quarter inch or less in diameter or width. I forced the handles on this picture and it was quite a chore getting it back off. I didn't keep the packaging so I can't send it back. Perhaps someone else can use them.
Super handy - a couple of minor annoyances but I liked them enough to buy a second pack!

I liked these enough to buy another pack. I use one on the back of my seat for my daughter's coat (kids aren't supposed to wear coats in car seats - most of the time this is OK but I am not comfortable driving around in a Minnesota winter with no coat for my kid in case we have car problems so I just leave a coat and hats/gloves hanging in my car all of the time). I had the other on the passenger seat but facing toward the front - I hook my purse over that so that it doesn't go flying off the seat and dump my stuff all over the passenger foot well if I have to stop quickly. If I have a passenger I just swing it around to the back and ask my 3 year old not to kick mommy's purse :) I bought a second pack so I could have another on the back of my seat for the baby's bag to hang from.
The only thing I don't love about them is that sometimes it's hard to get things off of them - they sort of hook back in and if you're trying to juggle a bunch of stuff it can be hard with one hand. (But that's probably the reason nothing ever falls off of them so it's worthwhile!) I think I saw someone else complain that they move too much but I have my headrests pushed all the way down and that seems to keep them in place. I could see where this could be frustrating if your headrest is higher. (If you're trying to wrestle a bag off the hook it's already difficult with one hand - if it starts moving around that'd be really tough.) Only other gripe is that my sweater got caught on one of the hooks when I tried to reach back for something else in the back seat. Thankfully my husband was there and untangled me or it would have been hard to get loose with my sweater intact and not pulled.
Great hanger to use for holding your purse while driving

If you are like me, when you get in the car, you just pitch your purse over in the passenger side seat. If it isn;t closed good then the next thing you know, your purse turns over and the contents go all over your car. Well these Mini Hanger's have solved that problem for me. These hangers go over the metal part of your head rest and then you just hang your purse on the hook and you no longer have to worry about everything in your purse being all over your car. These hooks can also hold a department store bag so that it can be used as a trash can. Then when you get out of the car, just grab the bag, tie it up and throw it in your outside recepticle. You no longer have to worry about trash being all over your car, especially if you have children. I am sure if you put your mind to it, you could think of other things to use this hanger for. I know I am very happy with my purchase.
Can't Believe I Didn't Know About These

Honestly, this thing is pretty good. You get two to a pack which is a decent value, then again, all it really is is some twisted metal. Easily fits around the headrest poles. Has little rubber bumpers on the ends so you won't stab yourself with sharp metal but also won't snag the handles of whatever straps you are putting on there. I didn't have an issue with the weight, I think the max is 10lbs, I use it for a small purse that weighs significantly less. The metal isn't super dinky like I figured it would be based on some reviews, it's sturdy enough, I think it could hold 8-10 lbs. I was tired of putting my purse in the passenger seat and sometimes having the contents spilled all over the floor, shifting with other items in the seat or having to find an accessible but out of the way spot with passengers. This is great in that I spin it around facing the front and put my purse on there and it is secure but also allows me to easily get chapstick while I'm driving if necessary. If I have a passenger, I just spin it around to the back of the seat and put the purse on there. Very convenient. My only complaint, and this is purse specific, is the depth of the hooks. My purse strap is kind of thick, about an inch, and leather. It doesn't fit into the hook as well as I would like but it still works. Also, and this is car and purse specific, the length of my strap is about a foot and it is able to hang from the hook with a few inches of clearance between it and the seat. If you have a cross body or a purse with a long strap it may not actually hang but still just sit in the seat with the strap around the hook if you had it facing the front. Think about your specific purpose but for the price, I think it's certainly worth a gamble. Glad I found this product.
Works well -but beware with little ones

I really liked these hooks at first. I truly cannot stand the idea of my bag on the floor so I usually keep it on my passenger seat, however if someone has to sit there, they tend to try and place my purse on the floor (insert cringe). They are sturdy and they work well, however I have small children and twice there were occasions where these things became a hazard in my car. One incident where my 2 year old daughter was trying to get out of the car and her hair got snagged in one of the hooks, and another time where one of the hooks nearly took an eye out. Because of this, I had to remove them :(. I love the concept and idea but maybe a different style of hook mill work for me. I will also add that although they are sturdy, they do bend and tend to get out of shape (which is an easy fix) the prongs are what concern me the most. I will be on the look out for hooks that don't pose as a hazard for lil ones and hair.
Perfect for Preventing Liquid Spills for the Jerky/Fast Drivers!

I've been looking for something like this for a long time. The biggest issue I had was transporting water-based products that were too big for the cup holders when I'm alone with no one to hold them. Leaving those items in the passenger seat, on the floor, etc. made them susceptible to being tipped over and spilling when you accelerate/decelerate/make turns.
So the best solution is to get the items off the ground - items can't tip over if there is no base for them to stand on and pass that tip-over threshold. That's where these hooks come it, especially if the items are in grocery/small bags. Installation is super easy and quick - make sure there is space between the car seat headrest and the seat itself, and stick this in between around either of the rods that extend from the headrest.
The only small gripe I can find is, because the hook portion only extend out a couple of inches, there is still that possibility the liquid can spill because it would be hung at an angle, so make sure whatever that holds the liquid is properly sealed.
But because these are so cheap, you can't really fault that. Besides, if they extend too far out, they would not have the necessary strength to hold heavy items anyways.
So for me, these are perfect for when I buy take-out foods that have liquid containers that I need to get off the ground to easily prevent spillage.
Highly Recommended!
Never use them - waste of money

These are constantly spinning around and facing the front of the seat instead of the back. Because they are so lightweight, the smallest movement and they spin around. I've spent more time putting them back in place as I have picking up bags from the floor/seat of my car. They're also long. Maybe its my SUV, but hanging a grocery bag on these is impossible because the bag just rests on the back seat and falls out of the hook. It must be made for larger SUVs or cars. Or people who sit STRAIGHT up in their sets because even a slight recline and the bags don't fit right. I basically never use these and should just take them out of my car.
LOVE These! Very Sturdy...

I initially bought one set of these to hang from the back of my drivers seat, but am now buying another set for the passenger seat. These hooks are so handy, and they're very sturdy. My sons diaper bag hangs from one of the hooks all day every day, and whenever I remove it, the hook bounces right back. The weight of the bag has in no way bent or distorted the hook.
I've used these to hang grocery bags...the big re-usable bags that hold a TON of stuff...and they work great. I was afraid they would permanently bend or snap the hooks, but they don't, so that's why I'm ordering another set. I may even get some for my rear seats just to give me even more hanging space for grocery day. It's so nice to hang my bags and have everything in them stay in place. Without them, I would load the bags in the back of our SUV and they would topple over and spill whenever I turned a corner. Overall, I am VERY pleased with these, and you just can't beat the price. I definitely recommend!
